ruthless ~sebastian sallow x reader~

chapter 3 ~ antagonistic.

you woke up skipping breakfast and just heading to your next class. it was the new normal now. you usually didnt wear anything under your skirt but shorts. that changed today, you wore leggings under. your legs were bruise colored just as much as your arms were. theres nothing you could do besides hide the giant one on your cheek with your makeup you had on hand. 

it did the bare Minium. when you opened the door you saw austin about to knock. "how are you feeling today?" he asked with a concerned tone. "less tired" you said back leaving your dorm and locking it. 

when you walked austin walked next to you. "they are freed, i assume youll get a repercussion?" austin asked trying not to hit a sour note. "who knows anymore. i didnt even expect this" you answered him back. he felt bad he truly did, he didnt understand how your parents could give you away, he didnt understand how you were able to still be afloat even after all of this. 

"your strong you know that" austin always tried to speak to you with a smile, even if he had a rough day trying to stop them, harlow, rookwood, and ranrok. you apricated it, but he still wasnt your favorite person. he fell into the likes of sebastian and would shit on you for the longest time until he found out. 

the more sebastian watched austin put up this front of you he felt a little betrayed. not only is he being overly friendly but he would walk you from class to class. but him walking you meant you could tell him about plans so hes a step ahead. sebastian never knew, all he knew was austin wasnt helping with anne as much, he was talking to you even more. 

"why is he kissing up to her" sebastian asked ominis. "he probably feels bad for not being there" ominis spoke to sebastian. you could hear them talking, you could always hear them. they werent the quietest. sebastian caught himself staring at you more and more. 

you were covered head to toe. which was unsightly, you never really did before. that only made him wonder more where you went after classes. but for once you werent nodding off, you were sleeping. so when lunched rolled around he approached you. "garreth gave me this stupid potion for you. he said drink it and tell him what you think" sebastian spoke handing you the potion. 

you drank it fully believing it was from garreth. "where do you go after school y/n?"  "the forbidden forest" you quickly found out you couldnt lie. sebastian gave you a truth potion. "what do you do in the forest" before you could answer you were walking away. 

sebastian walked after you. "answer the question" he spoke you covered your mouth and shot him a look. that look made him feel guilty almost, you had moved your hand and on your robe was half of the makeup from your cheek. he stared with open eyes upon the bruise on your cheek. 

almost like it turned something in him. "how did you get that bruise" he asked looking at it. "a goblin" you answered back only to cover your mouth again. it hit him like a strike of lightning. he never really knew how to feel from this point on. hes always picked on you, shitted on you to make your days bad. he wanted to annoy you. 

but something in his body was telling him he couldnt anymore, he needed to care. austin walked up to the both of you. he looked at sebastian before looking back at you. "plans still on?" he asked. you nodded at him with that invisible rattle in your head. "since when did you make plans? you dating?" sebastian asked looking at the both of you. "no, no we arent" austin spoke with a laugh. all the while you nodded no aggressively. 

he didnt believe it until he saw austin kissing a ravenclaw girl 5 minutes later. he forgot he gave you that potion for truth and then he felt like an idiot. he made a big deal about it, but he never knew why you dating austin made him upset, angry even.
