Not Again

Normani's Pov
The sun hit my face and that was my signal to wake up. I didn't mind either. At least not today. I was never a morning person but today I had a very good reason to be. Some one holding me tight from behind told me so. I was going to tell that certain someone something. Not that she could suspect it either. Miss know it all. I smirked at the thought as I rolled over and smiled at the adorable quiet snores of my Polynesian blonde counterpart.

"Mani"'...She groaned quietly tugging me back into bed as I tried to get up. "Yes?" I said as I cozied back up to her watching the sun rise on the melting snowy view from the window. "You can't just leave me here.." She breathed quietly on my neck. Instantly butterflies shot through me. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
Protectively she pulled the covers back around me.
"Dinah..I was trying to get up."
I whined. "Why? All that you need is right here." She chuckled in a low voice.

Dinah's pov
Was I wrong? All she needed was right here. Or at least I thought. Last night, My boyfriend broke up with me. Next thing I know I'm at Nornani's door. Of course she opened it and I busted out into sobs of a ridiculous nature. To her I must've seemed like a special kind of mess but she just sat there on the floor holding me. Which brings me to now,her in my arms. My best friend.
"Dj, are you asleep?" She wondered curiously;she disrupted my thoughts.
"No" I stated causing her to turned around in my arms and look me in the eye. Those huge brown eyes staring back at me made me smile. "What?" She asked almost amused. I shook my head. "Well Dinah, we have to talk." Causing me to get worried because of her voices tone change. "What's up." I asked reassuringly rubbing her arm. "Well ever since--" Suddenly there was a loud thud at the door.

Normani's Pov
Seriously!!! I was just about to tell her and we were interrupted by a loud thud of a knock at the door. "I'll get it" I yawned as I pushed the covers off and got out of bed. "Heyyy..you can't just leave me here." I heard Dinah whine. "I'll be back." I smirked pulling on a pair of pj shorts. I couldn't just answer the door in my underwear. As I did so, it grew a weird kind of quiet. I turned around and Dinah was staring at me while laying comfortably on her side. Her head propped up by her hand. Her eyes drifted across my body slowly then she looked dead into my eyes, shameless. I just blushed like a kid in grade school, not sure what to do. Again there was a loud thud at the door making me jump. "You ok?" Dinah asked. I nodded and began walking out of the room and towards the door. Right as I got past the kitchen, I felt hands wrap around my hips. I turned around to see the younger girl smiling at me. "I said I was coming back." "I can't take you being away that long." She whispered in my ear directly. I felt her smile against my neck which made me smile too. Man She was adorable. I shook the thought off and made my way to the door as she held me from behind. Wrapping her arms around my waist.
As soon as I opened the door. The remainder of our band members bombarded in.
"Guys!"I yelled irritated. "Where is she?" Camila asked, completely ignoring me. "Right here." I snorted. The girls rushed beside her and Dinah let me go to hug them. I sat on the kitchen island counter.

Dinah's Pov
"Are you ok?" Lauren asked me. Her green eyes full of concern. I nodded as Ally held me close. "We're sorry honey. We all fell asleep before we got the text." Ally said. "It's alright. I just came to Mani's room." I smiled turning around to look at my best friend. She was sitting on the kitchen island counter engulfed in her own thoughts.
"Mani.." With my voice she snapped back into reality.
"Yeah, I was awake. I'm a night owl." She smiled. I shook my head amused. "Yeah guys I got here and she let me be a mess."

Normani's Pov.
I shrugged not really thinking anything of it. They all cooed a sort of thanks to me. I nodded and waved my hand dismissively. "I'm gonna go take a shower." I wasn't needed here anymore. I hopped off the counter and hugged the girls goodbye. The whole time I felt Dinah watching me. When it came time for me to hug her she held on tighter for a few more seconds. Right there in front of everyone. "Can I stay, for a little bit longer?" She whispered in my ear. I nodded and then let go heading into the bathroom to take a shower.
After my shower I assumed the girls were Still out there. But knowing me I was wrong. I walked out of the bathroom only in a white hotel towel and there was Dinah laying on my bed on her phone taking selfies. I laughed amused as I set my Pjs away. She glanced at me, down at her phone then looked up at me again. This time, longer. "Sorry" I mumbled embarrassed as she sat up on the bed. I grabbed a pair of shorts and my favourite lounge sweater then went back into the bathroom.

Dinah's Pov
I was taking selfles as usual and out walks The older girl in just a towel. I was kind of taken back to say the least. But I could tell she was embarrassed as she hurried to grab clothes only to disappear back into the bathroom. She left the door a jar and I saw her. Her body was perfect. I peeked in awe. But quickly she was done and I ran back to the bed. "It's ok" She smiled knowingly. I blushed as she sat beside me on the bed.
"I know you were peeking Dj."
I blushed harder,avoiding eye contact. "Anyways.. I have something to tell you. I was trying to tell you earlier but the girls came over. " Her voice cracked and shaky.

Normani's Pov
"Anyways..." I took a breath.
"I have something to tell you. I was trying to tell you earlier, but the girls came over." I said. For some reason I was now finding it hard to speak. "Ok. Go for it. " Dinah smiled reassuringly. She took my hand and waited. "Ever since we met. I have just been fascinated by our connection. I realized that i--" A loud buzzer sounded on her phone. "Sorry" she said embarrassed. I grunted frustrated. "Ooh we have an interview in like twenty minutes." Dinah sighed. I took my pillow and burried my face into it. What was with all the interruptions? "Can I go get ready? We can talk after everything." I shrugged and pulled on my wedges. Then walked to the mirror.
"Don't be upset. I'm sorry about these interruptions." She whispered. Her lips in my ear as she looked at me in the mirror. I looked at her for a second. How was I supposed to be upset ? "It's not your fault Dinah." I grinned trying to busy Myself by putting the rest of my jewellery on then some makeup.
"Then look at me." She whispered intentionally putting her lips in my ear. I blushed as I met her eyes, trying to relax in her arms. "Wait," She spun me around to face her. "Why? I was looking at you." "But this is better." She stated seriously. I looked at her and dumbly nodded. "I just wanted to thank you for everything last night. That really means so much to me Mani." "Of course." I smiled. She smiled back and pulled me into her embrace.
"You're welcome."
We pulled apart and she disappeared into the bathroom to get ready. Dodging her head out with a heart warming smile. "By the way," I turned around to look at her. "You look beautiful without makeup. You don't need it." I smiled throwing my pillow at the door as she closed it. In the midst of all my feelings of disappointment and irritation for not getting to tell her. I was relieved that she at least didn't friend zone me to be 100% honest. "You're beautiful too. You don't need it either." I whispered in the stillness of the room.
