Hatake Kakashi.
Sasuke rolled up the scroll and turned to Kaori who was anxiously biting her lip at the startling news.
The girl looked up at Sasuke with wide eyes, her now blue green eyes were shining in anticipation at his reaction.
"So, what do you think we should do? Should we return to Konoha?"
Sasuke took her words into consideration, and without giving a reply, he picked up Ori in his hands and placed the cat onto his shoulders where she liked to be perched.
In all honesty, Sasuke wasn't even sure if he was ready to return to Konoha yet.
It had been around 2 months since the pair's last visit to their hometown, and even then, the newlyweds had a lot of privacy and mostly kept to themselves.
So now the prospect of going back home and confronting all of his friends seemed like a very foreign and downright daunting task.
It wasn't like he was scared though, he just had a feeling that he had not attoned enough yet to freely walk about the streets of the place he once sought to destroy.
Hell he even felt so guilty about enjoying life with Kaori during their travels, even after she has reassured him a thousand times that they both deserved some happiness.
However he knew that Kao would be thrilled at the idea of visiting Konoha and catching up with her friends again, especially after she had come to know that her two best friends were now dating.
"What do you want to do, Kaori?"
She let out a soft breath before looking up at the sky, deep in thought.
"I would love to return to Konoha, but, i don't think we should, at least not yet."
Sasuke arched a brow and questioned her why, to which she responded:
"Because, the leaf village is experiencing peace after a long time of fighting and suffering, if we go back I'm afraid it will end.
We both have rare Kekkei Genkai that's being hunted by many people, and I'm the only one out of my siblings to have inherited the leaf style Kekkei Genkai of the Tsuki clan.
And you have the Sharingan and Rinnegan. I think we wait a little longer. What do you think Sasuke?"
Sasuke contemplated her words for a second before replying:
"I agree with you, i think we should deal with this issue without going back to Konoha, we'll send Kakashi a message once we've completed."
Kaori giggled softly at Sasuke's refusal to keep their sensei updated. He naturally pecked her lips, shutting her up. They both gathered up their things and began their journey to find out where these exploding humans were now.
Just as the pair was about to go, the scent of smoke caught their attention and they looked up to see black clouds over the horizon.
That was just too suspicious not to be investigated.
Sasuke noticed that Kaori winced slightly as she ran beside him, he had to bite back a smirk that he knew would have Kaori pouting.
"Are you okay to run?"
Kaori sweatdropped a little and replied with a sheepish smile.
"Yeah I'll be fine, I'm just a little sore."
"Hn, well that is to be expected after yesterday night."
His words had her going as red as a tomato as she grumbled under her breath, about how it was his fault. He couldn't help but smirk at her reaction.
