Tear stains were evident on her pillow, she had cried herself to sleep the previous night. Opening up her messaging app, Jeno's contact was the first one he had texted her last night. Sighing and pressing on his contact.
"Sorry Gaeul, I can't make it on time because I have a wedding. I wish I could see you now," was the text he had sent at midnight. She was thankful that she could avoid him for longer. Checking the time it was already the afternoon, and she got up to shower.

On the other hand, Jeno sighed as he glanced at the message he had sent her earlier that morning.
"Yo what happened, to you?" Jaemin questioned, perfectly shooting the basketball in the hoop
"You been down this whole morning," he added, as he dribbled the ball
"It's nothing," he assured his friend with a hint of sadness
"This is the last week of the summer festival," Chenle reminded them
"I forgot that we had it this year," Jaemin commented
"Personally I could never forget those amazing meat buns," Renjun added, looking up from his phone
"Who are you guys taking?" Chenle questioned, stealing the ball away from Jaemin's hands, and dunking it into the hoop
"Myself and my meat buns," Renjun said, causing the four friends to laugh
"Are you taking her?" Jaemin questioned, facing away from Chenle towards the Lee boy
"I don't know," he vaguely answered, shrugging his shoulders

The Tae girl sighed as she plopped her body on Eunji's bed. She whooped out her phone from her pocket. She scrolled on her phone, opening the group chat of all the girls in her grade. They were discussing the summer festival. The summer was her favorite thing during Summer break. Jeno had accompanied all over her mind, causing her to forget about the event.
She sighed, moving her body so she could lie down on the side of her body. Her phone lit up to the new notification. Jeno was mentioned in one of the text messages. Although forgetting about him would be the best, not able to resist, she opened the messages. It was a sweaty picture of Jeno playing basketball with his friend group. The following text messages were girls fangirling him. Realizing the pic was taken on the same day she heard the truth
"Are you going to the summer festival with Jeno?" Eunji asked, coming out of her bathroom
"I don't know," she answered vaguely, her eyes glued to her phone screen
