I stood outside the university building, my heart pounding with excitement and anticipation for the trip. I adjusted my backpack strap and looked at the time on my phone. I said my goodbyes to Emma earlier and she had left so now I was waiting for with a couple of other students waiting for Professor Amick and Professor Cooper to arrive.

As if on cue, Professor Amick emerged from the entrance with Professor Cooper walking behind her. Her authoritative yet warm presence immediately calms my nerves. "Good morning everyone, are we excited for this trip?" she greeted with a smile.
I nodded eagerly, feeling a flutter of excitement in my chest. "Absolutely, I've been looking forward to this trip for days." I said as we all walked to the waiting taxi bus that is going to take us to the airport.

Me and the rest of the group made our way through the airport. However, as we approached the security checkpoint, panic struck and when I realized my passport was nowhere to be found. I was searching through my bag like a crazy person and my heart sank.
Sensing I was in distress, a girl from the group came to help me, calmly guiding me through the process and assisting me in locating my ''missing'' passport. Meanwhile, Professor Amick, usually composed and collected, couldn't help but feel a little hint of jealousy seeing me and her.
After a few minutes looking for it I finally found it in a spare pocket in my backpack, I was so relieved and gave the girl a hug as a thank you for helping me. We went trough security and walked to our gate so we can enter the plane.

I had to choose a seat so I went with a seat in the back because I couldn't sit next to my professor. I barely know the other students so it was hard to start a conversation with anyone but then someone stood next to my seat. I took one good look at her and I was stunned, she's a redhead and the sun was shining and that made her hair glow and as her green eyes connected with mine she asked if it was okay to sit next to me. It was the same girl that helped me find my passport, Her name is Beth and we started talking about our hobbies, favorite music, what major we chose that sort of stuff and we promised each other that we are going to spend this trip together so we're not alone.

The flight from New York to Berlin was filled with endless conversation and laughter as my fellow students discussed their plans for the trip. From visiting iconic landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate to exploring Berlin's neighborhoods.

"Here we are, everyone," Professor Amick said, her voice filled with excitement as the plane touched down at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg.
I felt a rush of excitement wash over me.

Me and the rest of the group, stepped out of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg into the Berlin air. We got in to our taxis to take us to our hotel for the next few days and night. I settled into the taxi with Beth, a few other students and my favorite professor. I couldn't contain my excitement and started taking pictures of myself, a few with Beth and of course the city, I never been to Europe before so this is all new to me.

As we rode through the streets of Berlin, I couldn't help but look at the architecture and the vibrant energy of the city. Professor Amick pointed out notable landmarks and shared interesting facts about Berlin, she told us that it's been a long time since she visited Germany herself.

Arriving at our hotel, we checked in and dropped our bags in our rooms. I shared my room with Beth and another girl named Jodie.
We all gathered in the lobby, chatting about where we will be going for dinner as we all started to get hungry. Professor Cooper suggested that we find a nearby restaurant to have dinner at so that we can be close to the hotel and be in bed on time. Feels like I'm on a trip with my family.

We settled into a cozy restaurant, the aroma of German cuisine filling the air. A few of us had schnitzel with fries and the enthusiasts had a bratwurst, We laughed a lot and shared stories, like we've know each other for so long.

After dinner, we returned to the hotel, exhaustion finally catching up to us after a day filled with travel and excitement and good food. Me, Beth and Jodie said goodnight to everyone while we were still gathered in the lobby and retreated to our room.

Me, Jodie, and Beth stepped into our cozy hotel room.
I yawned, stretching my arms as I made my way to the bathroom first. "I can't wait to sink into this bed," I said with a sigh.
Beth nodded, already going through her suitcase for her pajamas. "Today was amazing, but my feet are killing me," she admitted with a laugh.
As we each prepared for bed, the room filled with the sound of gentle chatter and the occasional giggle. Our teeth were brushed, pajamas were put on, and pillows were fluffed.
Finally settled beneath the covers, we found ourselves in a comfortable silence, the only sound the distant hum of the city outside. Me, Jodie, and Beth exchanged smiles and said goodnight, as our eyelids are growing heavy with sleep.

The next morning, I woke up with a sense of excitement coursing through my veins. I quickly put on my grey jeans with a beige hoodie, my favorite brown jacket and my easy to walk in black boots and joined the group in the hotel lobby, where Professor Amick and Professor Cooper greeted me with a smile.

We made our way to the hotel's breakfast buffet first. I glanced over the menu, as I couldn't decide what to get.
The menu had so many breakfast delights, from fluffy pancakes drizzled with maple syrup to golden-brown waffles topped with whipped cream and fresh berries. My stomach rumbled as I struggled to decide between the mouthwatering options.

Jodie, the food enthusiast, couldn't contain her excitement as she recommended the café's signature dish – a hearty breakfast with scrambled eggs, crispy hash browns, a sausage, and melted cheese, all topped off with a sprinkle of chives. Beth, with a mischievous twinkle in her eye, teased me about her love for sweet treats, suggesting I should get the fluffy pancakes with a generous drizzle of Nutella and toasted hazelnuts.

As we settled into their seats, I savored each bite from my fluffy pancakes with whipped cream and fresh berries. I couldn't help but steal glances at the older woman right across from me. Professor Amick's elegance was captivating, how could I not look at her but she caught me and her gaze sent a shiver down my spine.
