Conan woke up at 6'o clock in the morning. Ever since he became shrunk, it became his daily routine.
Waking up and getting ready for school was the worst part.
"I wish I could leave this damn child body" He muttered under his breath.
He got up from bed, brushed his teeth, took a bath, ate breakfast, got dressed up, and bade farewell to Ran.
"Bye Ran! I am getting late for school!" He said to Ran and plastered a child-like smile on his face.
At first, he used to get an uneasy feeling while acting like a child infront of his childhood..
Crush....
No....
His friend.
Not his crush.....
He used to get this feeling earlier.
Now it has faded.
Have their feelings for each other faded?
He doesn't know..
He doesn't WANT to know...
Still, out of curiosity, he asked her something.
"What will you do today, Ran?" He asked casually.
"Hanging out with Adraide. I will return before 5 p.m" A shade of pink painted her face as she said it.
That guy.
That Adraide.
She likes him.
Did she forget me?
Conan was shouting questions in his mind.
"Hurry up Conan, or else you will get late for school." She said with a smile on her face.
"Ok, bye Ran!" Conan said while running to school.
A few minutes later
He was walking with some speed.The gentle morning breeze was running over him.
He quickly glanced at his watch. He was on time.
He hurried over at professor Hakase's house, and knocked the door.
He expected the professor will open the door and greet him... Like always...
When he was lost in his thoughts, a similar voice answered him.
"Coming~~~~~~"
It was her voice..
It was....
Haibara....
It was Haibara's voice...
She opened the door and greeted him.
"Good morning!" She said with a.....
Smile?
Conan rarely saw her smile... And when she did...
It felt like....
Heaven...
Heaven on Earth...
"Good morning" he replied unconsciously, gazing at the beautiful figure standing in front of him.
"What are you looking at, Mr. Detective?" She said in a sarcastic tone.
"Uhh... Nothing..." Shades of crimson brushed his face when he realised what he was doing.
"Come on, something is making you uneasy.. what is it?" She asked coldly.
Should he say it?
Maybe she will kill him...
Of course...
But what wrong is in trying?
Uhhhh... This is hard....
Ok... Go for it ...
"Nothing... You just look... different..." He said it with all courage he could muster.
"Really? That's all? What is so unique that is making you act like that?" She answered casually.
Conan was taken aback.
Really?
She didn't tease him, or got angry, nor shouted at him.
Wow.
"Uhh.. no.. nothing... Its nothing..." he felt uneasy saying it.
She looked stunning, really.
"Let's hurry up, we are getting late" she closed the door behind her and walked with a quick pace.
"Yeah.. sure" he started walking beside her.
TIME SKIP
(CONAN, HAIBARA AND THE KIDS HAVE REACHED THE SCHOOL GATE)
"I am excited about the art class today!" Exclaimed Ayumi, with Genta and Mitshukio nodding in agreement.
"These kids nowadays" Haibara commented sarcastically, with such a low tone that only Conan heard it.
"Yup" he said, tying to look cool, but today, he was more interested in Haibara.
Just when they entered the school gate, Haibara sneezed violently.
Then she remembered.
She forgot her sweater at home.
It was the cold February wind making the situation worse.
The detective boys and Conan looked at her, specifically Conan.
Before she was going for another sneeze, Conan took out his jacket and gave it to Haibara.
"Here" He said like a gentleman, "Wear it. The cold won't bother you much then"
A shade of pink ran across her face.
She was hesitating to take the jacket.
Why should she take it anyway?
But.
She took the jacket.
Still blushing, she thanked Conan gently. "Thanks...for...."
"Caring..."
She blushed when she realised what she said.
She gained a smile from Conan.
"Uh.. guys.. shouldn't we hurry up for class" Genta interrupted.
"Yeah" everyone replied together.
Haibara felt quiet...
Sad...
She was enjoying the moment.....
Really....
