Abused And Rejected

Chpt.19

UNKOWN POV:

She smiles happily as she's surrounded by her people... but what about me?  Did you really forget about me in the years that I was not by your  side? Did I mean so little to you that you forgot about me the moment I wasn't around? Did you really forget me... us?

TRIA'S POV:

The following days after the welcoming dinner were peaceful and joyful. The whole pack seemed to be at peace knowing that I'll rule with Rave, even the elders were not against the idea when we brought it up... reason being that I'm the rightful ruler and Rave was chosen by my father in his last moments to rule with me and basically protect me in his stead. They were only concerned about how our mates would feel knowing that they would not rule with us, we told them it wouldn't be a problem since both our mates rejected us to be together... the silence in that room was everything, you could literally hear a pin drop

"What do you mean?" Elder Laenor asked looking puzzled 

"My Alpha mate rejected me to be with his Alpha girlfriend" I simply replied

"And my Alpha mate rejected me to be with her Alpha boyfriend... who happens to be Tria's mate" Rave finished 

"What a great mistake they made" Elder Shivlone chuckled, "Beware of your future from now on... its not going to be a smooth ride from here on"

The other elders agreed with him but never elaborated further... I was lost but Rave seemed to get what they were saying so I didn't question further.

The next day after breakfast and pack run, Rave took me to the pack library, apparently this were they kept the things they scavenged from The Sanctuary after the fire was put out. "I was expecting this to be in a vault or something..." I remarked

"Why? And a vault at that?" Rave chuckled 

"Isn't that were people put their most valuable things? Like money and gold"

"But this isn't money or gold and how do you expect the young pups to know our pack history if we lock this in a vault?" He has a great point

I rolled my eyes at his smart ass as he chuckled, we continued looking through different stuff and reminiscing about the past

Among the shelves was a pack photo album, "Omo! this album survived the fire?" I asked excitedly

"yeah... I found it in your dads office" Rave replied with a small smile

I paged through the album until I came upon a photo of someone whom I thought I would never see again. Her pure white hair flowing down her shoulder and even though she's sitting I could see that her hair was way past her hips, that pretty smile she always had on no matter the situation and those fiery red eyes that shine with joy... her.

"Her. Where is she?" I asked pointing at the photo

"She prefers being on her own... so she's not living with the pack currently" Rave answered hesitantly, my heart instantly started racing "So... you mean that she's here? On the pack lands?" I was happy to know that she survived the fire and found her way back

She was always so timid and shy like she needed someone to protect her at all times... her protector.

My beasts started howling and growling and behaving restlessly... I understand why they might behave that way, it has been a long time since we met and the whole time we had an impression that she didn't survive the fire. I'm just happy and glad that she made it 

"Is it possible for us to meet them?" I asked Raven but the look on his face made my heart drop

"It's hard to meet her personally, she never takes visitors and if go there uninvited... It's safe to say that isn't the best option" he replied after hesitating for a while

"If you say it's me then I'm sure that shell take the visit"

"She never got over the fact that you went missing, Tria. she never wanted to hear anything about you... I don't think she'll be happy if I mention you just like that knowing how she'll react whenever she hears your name" Rave said with a hint of worry in his voice

My heart shattered... the one person who kept me afloat now cant even stand the mention of my name. Did my disappearance ruin our relationship? Did I do something wrong? 

"Cyrus,  Call... I'm tired" I whispered 

"Sleep" Call replied then took over

I watched as she ran off into the woods, jumping from tree to tree and Rave calling after me 

I closed my eyes and... slept
