Chapter 9:- What trauma?

Adrien's POV

I open the door a little to hear what that lady is saying

"I know that all of you are going through some horrible childhood trauma and that is traumatizing. some of you are new here as I can see and some of you are still here healing especially our this patient that is here for a very long time" she said pointing towards marinette

"This is marinette this group's very old patient that is still healing and also the good listener, a good talker and a good leader of this group" marinette stands up and bows to all the peoples with an emotionless face that is sitting at the right side.

"So marinette you are here after a very long time, can you give a brief introduction of your self and a little information about your childhood trauma?" That lady said

Marinette nods her head at her still with an emotionless expression "sure dr. Haven" she sits down and turns to the peoples that is sitting at the right side

"My name is marinette dupain cheng. I am currently 17 years old, turning 18 next month. I am a very old patient of dr. Haven. I come here very rarely because like you all I also don't like to come to therapy and I still don't. I became mature at the age of 6 and at the age of 12 I got adopted by some good people. My childhood trauma was very brutal It was a living hell with all the physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual harrasment. a dysfunctional family where you are forced to grow up without opening your thoughts to your parents whom you are supposed to love but instead you are so scared of them. to live upto their expectations, even if you did nothing wrong they still beat you for God knows why. Their fights, their yellings, their screams, their abuse, the smell of alcohol and cigarettes still fresh in mind. The witnesses that saw everything with their own eyes of what was going on behind the closed doors, but still decided to stay silent. They didn't helped the helpless child that was screaming so desperately to be saved but everyone closed their ears. The scars fades. The people forgets. But that child is still broken and no one, no one helped her. No one tried to healed her and in the end it was a child fighting against her trauma that she is not responsible for." The room falls silent She looks down

Dr. Haven smiled sadly at her "thank you marinette I know it must be hard opening upto your past that you desperately wants to forget" she turns to the others "I don't know what's the reason you are here or who forced you to come here but trust me I am a psychologist therapy is the best decision you ever made to come here. Maximum people doesn't want to open up to their past infront of anyone because they are scared they will be judged but there is no one who will judge you here so just trust the process"

I don't know what to think. No, I don't know how to think anymore. I didn't know marinette was going through this childhood trauma and that's the reason she has insomnia and that's the reason she has marks on her back.

"Excuse me?" A lady said startling me

I look at her she is standing at the right side of me and she looking like a nurse "are you here for the group therapy? If then why you are standing here? why are you not going inside?"

"Umm actually I was h-here for a medical routine checkup I was just leaving but then I saw this room and stop to see" I smoothly lied

"Ohh ok are you leaving then?" She said closing the door of the therapy room

"Y-yeah I am leaving" I quickly ran off from there that nurse was weird but I guess she was just doing her work

I came out from hospital and transformed into chat noir then I started to wait for her on a rooftop near hospital.q when she will came out.

After a hour she came out from the hospital with a poker face. She came out with a boy same age as mine he is wearing a simple blue jeans with a black tshirt written 'past is an asshole'. I am not far from them so I can clearly hear them
