Damian nodded, grateful for Asher's words of support.

The city lights blurred past the car windows as Damian sat beside Asher, the tension in the air palpable despite the comforting presence of his friend. Thoughts of his recent ordeal swirled through Damian's mind, casting a shadow over the otherwise calm evening.

Suddenly, as if driven by an invisible force, Damian shot out of his seat, his voice trembling with urgency. "Don't take me back to my apartment," he pleaded, the words tumbling out in a rush.

Asher's gaze flickered to Damian, his expression one of understanding mixed with concern. In that moment, he realized the gravity of Damian's request, the fear that lingered in the depths of his friend's eyes.

Without hesitation, Asher reached out, placing a reassuring hand on Damian's arm. "It's okay," he murmured softly, his voice laced with reassurance. "We're not going back there."

Damian's shoulders sagged with relief, the weight of his fears momentarily lifted. In the dim glow of the car's interior, he met Asher's gaze, gratitude shining in his eyes.

As the car continued its journey through the city streets, Asher made a silent vow to protect Damian, to provide him with the safety and security he so desperately needed. And as they drove onward, Damian found solace in the knowledge that he was no longer alone, that he had someone by his side who would always be there for him.

The sleek black BMW rolled to a stop in front of an imposing mansion, its grandeur illuminated by the soft glow of the evening lights. Damian peered out of the window, his gaze drawn upward by the sheer size of the structure before him.

The mansion stood tall and proud, its architecture a testament to wealth and opulence. Its windows gleamed in the dim light, offering glimpses of the luxurious interiors within. As Damian stepped out of the car, he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the sight before him, "Is this a hotel?"

Asher chuckled, "No.. Welcome to my home."

Asher led the way, his steps confident as he approached the grand entrance. The imposing double doors swung open with a soft creak, revealing a spacious foyer adorned with intricate details and elegant furnishings.

Damian followed Asher inside, his senses overwhelmed by the sheer grandeur of his surroundings. The mansion seemed to stretch on endlessly, its corridors winding and expansive. Everywhere he looked, there were signs of luxury and extravagance, from the ornate chandeliers hanging overhead to the plush carpets underfoot.

As they made their way through the mansion, Damian couldn't shake the feeling of being in a place far removed from his own reality. Yet, despite the opulence surrounding him, there was a sense of warmth and comfort that enveloped him, a feeling of belonging that he hadn't felt in a long time.

As Damian settled onto the plush couch, sinking into its soft cushions, Asher called out for Maria. Moments later, an older woman appeared from a nearby doorway, her warm smile instantly putting Damian at ease.

Maria was a vision of warmth and hospitality, her demeanor gentle and inviting. She greeted Damian with a kind smile, her eyes reflecting genuine concern. "Welcome, Sir Damian," she said softly, her voice soothing. "I'm Maria. It's a pleasure to have you here."

Damian returned her smile, feeling a sense of comfort wash over him in her presence. "Thanks," he replied gratefully, his voice tinged with relief. "Nice to meet you, too, Maria."

As Maria bustled about, preparing refreshments for their unexpected guest, Damian couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for her hospitality. In this unfamiliar environment, her kindness was a beacon of light, guiding him through the darkness of uncertainty.
