Damian's eyes flickered down to the gun tucked in Pierce's waistband, a chilling reminder of the power he held over him. Swallowing hard, Damian nodded, a surge of fear tightening his chest.

"I won't," Damian replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

As Pierce walked around to the passenger side of the car, Damian's heart raced with anticipation. He scanned his surroundings, desperately searching for any opportunity to break free from Pierce's control. But with the gun tucked securely in Pierce's pocket, Damian knew he had to tread carefully.

When Pierce reached the door, he pulled it open with a suave flourish, offering Damian a disarming smile. "After you, Damian," he said, gesturing for him to step out of the car.

Damian hesitated for a moment, his mind racing with conflicting thoughts. Should he make a run for it? Or play along and bide his time for a better opportunity? With a deep breath, Damian reluctantly complied, stepping out of the car and onto the pavement, his senses on high alert as he followed Pierce's lead.

The cozy atmosphere of the bakery enveloped them as they settled at their table, their orders already placed. Pierce couldn't help but notice Damian's demeanor, finding his actions rather endearing.

"You're acting quite cute today, Damian," Pierce remarked, a playful glint in his eyes as he observed Damian's behavior. He leaned in slightly, a smirk playing on his lips. "What's gotten into you?" he teased, his tone laced with amusement.

Damian's smile was forced as he responded to Pierce's teasing remark. "I just really love this bakery, it brings me so much happiness." Despite the unsettling circumstances, Damian found solace in the familiar surroundings of the bakery, cherishing the moments of normalcy amidst the chaos.

But it wouldn't last long.

Throughout the night, Asher had been tirelessly combing through every possible lead, his mind racing with worry for Damian's safety. He had driven through the city streets, stopping at every corner, questioning anyone who might have seen something. He had called every contact he knew, desperate for any information that could lead him to Damian.

Now, as the first light of dawn filtered through the windows of his car, Asher found himself parked outside Damian's apartment building once again. His eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep, and his hands trembled with fatigue, but his determination remained unshaken. With a heavy sigh, he leaned back in his seat, running a hand through his disheveled hair as he racked his brain for any new leads or clues. He knew he couldn't afford to give up now, not when Damian's life could be in danger. So, with renewed resolve, Asher braced himself for another day of relentless searching, determined to bring his friend back home safe and sound.

Asher's heart skipped a beat as a call came through, his pulse quickening with a surge of hope mixed with anxiety. With trembling hands, he answered the phone, his voice strained with anticipation as he listened to the voice on the other end.

The words from the police officer hit him like a bolt of lightning, sending a jolt of adrenaline coursing through his veins. "We spotted the black Genesis entering the city around 10 minutes earlier," the officer said, the urgency evident in his tone. "We're sending out a team to go search for him."

For Asher, it felt like a ray of hope breaking through the darkness of uncertainty. Finally, a tangible lead to follow, a direction to pursue in his relentless search for Damian. With a sense of determination burning in his chest, Asher thanked the officer and quickly ended the call.

His mind raced as he contemplated his next move. The black Genesis. Pierce. Just the thought of him made Asher furious, igniting a fierce determination to track down Damian no matter the cost.
