Chapter 17: Sports Festival Prep
It was a normal day of class for Class 1A. The bell rang for lunch.
"Before you all go, I have an announcement. Your fight is far from over."
"Wait, more villains?" Kaminari asked.
"The sports festival is coming up," Aizawa stated.
"What's a sports festival?" Kenshi asked.
"You've never seen a sports festival?!" Jiro asked.
"No," Kenshi answered.
"A sports festival is a competition that schools hold in order for people to see the future heroes that UA is training. You do well enough and you're sure to be scouted!" Momo said with a smile.
"Or be a sidekick," Jiro said.
"This is a big event and you should be sure to train up for it," Aizawa said, "Which is why you have two weeks off of classes after today to get ready for it."
After the lecture, everyone started getting ready to go to lunch.
"Can I have your attention for a moment," Kenshi said getting everyone's attention, "As your class president, I deemed it necessary to also help out with your quirks and costumes."
He brought up his bag with a bunch of games for everyone.
"I'd like you all to try out these specific games, get ideas for support gear and costume changes."
He handed out a game to Iida first.
"For Iida, F-Zero GX. Read the instruction manual and get some ideas for your engines."
He handed another game to Tokoyami.
"For Tokoyami, Arkham Knight. When you get to the Upgrade part of the first act, study up."
Kenshi then turned to IZuku.
"For you Deku, I notice you have a lot of melee attacks, but nothing that's ranged."
"Are you gonna give me a spell from Morowind?" Izuku asked excitedly.
"I got something better in mind," Kenshi said.
He handed him Kirby Super Star.
"Play through the game as Fighter Kirby only. It should give you some ideas. And also, don't fight with just your arms. Otherwise you're gonna be visiting the old lady's office more times than you can count."
"Achoo!"
"You alright, Chiyo?" Nezu asked, putting his news paper down.
"I feel like Jojo just called me an old lady again." Recovery Girl said as she got her can got ready to him something with it.
"So what should I play or watch to get an idea?" Izuku asked.
"Watch One Piece, and pay attention to the character, Sanji," Kenshi said, "There's your starting point."
Everyone was starting to head out. Minus one student. Kaminari was somehow still in the room.
"I'm trying to open the door but it's stuck!"
"Push the button!" Jiro said.
"I am pushing it," Kaminari said.
"It looks like you're pushing the key hold," Iida said.
"The what?"
"There's a button under the handle! Press that in!" Iida said, while getting impatient with Kaminari's stupidity..
