A little poem I made for Kaiden. I made an actual short story about this concept but I can't find it so have this for now. (I hate my spacing on this, I hate how Wattpad does it, if anyone has any tips to just have it go down one line instead of two would be much appreciated!)

Some things do change.
The phases of the moon.
The in and out of the tide.
The coming and going of the seasons
And that's okay,
It's what makes life beautiful.
Some things never change.
The sun always rising again.
The spinning of the earth.
The birds singing
And that's okay,
It's what makes life familiar.
Some things do change.
She can smile more
She has people she actually trusts
She has techniques to slow down.
And that's okay,
She's growing.
Some things never change.
Her first instinct to grab the knife
The blood on her hands.
The clean up routine
And that's okay,
She's trying
Some things do change.
The enjoyment, it wasn't just for protection.
The guilt, why did it hurt so much?
The lies, how was she going to tell everyone?
All the progress.... gone down the drain.
Some things never change.

This was all she was.
