December 25th, Sunday.

"No plans for today, huh?" I muttered as I got out of bed.

If things happened differently when I "confessed" to Kushida, we might've been poised to have a Christmas date later today. Well, there's no use in thinking about something that will never happen anytime soon.

What happened on the night of Christmas Eve was enough experience for me.

I should probably just relax and enjoy the solitude. I wanted to catch up on some new anime. I have to thank Professor and Ijuuin for providing me with some recordings.

After all my hard work, I think I deserve this much, right?

If I remember correctly, I kept the hard drive in my drawer...

"Oh, it's here..." I took the hard drive and gave a certain sketch pad a quick glance.

After closing the drawer, I decided to cook a light breakfast while doing some prep work for lunch. I felt excited imagining how cozy my bed would be as I watched some shows while eating.

I sliced up the necessary ingredients and checked the recipe... Hmm, I should probably have Horikita coach me again sometime. Her cooking is amazing, after all.

Speaking of which, the rumors about me getting rejected by Kushida should be spreading by now. I wonder if I should turn off my phone so no one could bother me. It is a fact that I'm quite popular— for better or worse. At this point, I don't think that's just me being self-conscious. If I want to take it easy today, I should-

*Beep*

My phone lit up and made a sound. How timely.

(7:57) [Good morning, Ayanokouji-kun. Do you have any plans for today?] (Ichinose)

It seems like I've gotten a message from Ichinose. How should I take this though...? I'm glad that it's not about my rumored rejection, but...

(7:58) [Morning, Ichinose. I don't have any plans for today.]
(7:58) [Did you need something?] (Ayanokouji)

My message was instantly read. Not even a second after that, my phone started buzzing as the call screen popped up.

"Hello?" I was surprised but answered nonetheless.

"Ah, Ayanokouji-kun, good morning. Are you in your room right now?" she asked.

"Yeah, I just woke up."

"I see, I see. Is it alright if I go there in a bit?"

Huh, why though?

"Sure, but why?"

"You'll know once I'm there," Ichinose replied, sounding peppy.

She hung up without saying goodbye, but I guess I'll be meeting her soon so it doesn't matter.

I continued working on my stuff for a few minutes before the doorbell rang. Ichinose wore a nice wintery outfit. In fact, it was too nice for someone who just wanted to go down and run a quick errand. I wonder if she's going out?

"Here you go." She shoved a cute bag into my hands. "Merry Christmas, Ayanokouji-kun!"

"Ohh, Merry Christmas, Ichinose. I didn't expect you to give me a Christmas gift. Thank you."

"Hehe, it's nothing. I gave all of my friends a little something for Christmas, so of course you'll receive one from me as well. We're close friends, after all."

"I guess you're right... but I kinda feel bad. I don't have anything for you."

"Oh please, don't. It's not like I gave you a present so I can receive something in return."
