"This time, she crossed her limits, and I'll cross mine," I declared.

He looked at me, confused.

"What's on your mind?" he asked.

I smirked at him, knowing exactly what to do.

But before everything, I needed to calm my tiger.

"By the way, where is your phone?" he asked.

I checked my pockets, realizing it wasn't there.

Remembering I left it on the desk before the meeting, I grabbed it.

"Here, why?" I asked, checking my phone.

To my shock, I found 5 missed calls and 20 messages from Shreesha, all from the morning.

"I'm okay," she replied to my previous message.

"Hey, are you free?" sent after a while.

"I'm done with my work."

"I'm bored, where are you?"

"I'm coming to your office," and many more.

"She was waiting for you for an hour," Arav said.

"What! Why didn't you tell me?!" I yelled.

"We were in a meeting, and I got a message from the receptionist about her arrival," he explained.

Looking back at the texts.

"The receptionist informed that you are in a meeting, so I'm waiting for you in your cabin."

"I'm getting bored; when will the meeting finish?"

"I'm going to take a walk around in your office, okay?"

"By the way, who is this Verma? She is annoying!"

"She has been nagging me since I came here."

"I'm gonna smack her head to the wall; so, be ready to handle the aftermath."

Guilt washed over me as I read her frustrated messages.

"Where did you meet her? You guys were together while walking into the cabin," I asked him.

"Yeah, we met while I was walking towards the cafeteria. So, we both came here together," he said, shrugging his shoulders.

"And she was so frustrated with that Shreya; she asked me about her."

Guilt intensified.

I yelled at her for no reason.

She did right by punching me; I was an asshole.

I messed up.

I need to make up with her right away.

Hurriedly packing my things, I headed out of the office.

"Mail me the paperwork and designs," I instructed Arav before rushing out.

I got into the car and attempted to call her, but she wasn't picking up.

I tried again and again, but there was no answer.

Determined, I drove to her house, making a quick stop to buy some flowers and her favorite ice cream on my way.

I entered her apartment, having the keys. The silence welcomed me as I walked further, placing the things on the table.
