8. In a World of Black and White

In a world of black and white
a creature roams the darkness
wandering mindlessly
in his unbreakable prison of
not being able to love

The sky was dark like his heart
the oceans were grayscale
monochromatic mountains surrounded
his habitat was homogenous
and his journey was lonely

But when he saw his first gray
in a world of black and white
he rose from the abyss; his soul reborn
and he starts to see color
in the person he loved and called
