Jay sits on the couch, looking troubled. His mother enters the room and notices his mood.
JAY'S MOTHER Jay, what's been bothering you lately? You seem distant.
JAY (looking down) I've been thinking a lot about Taylor, Mom. I really like her, but... I'm scared to tell her how I feel.
JAY'S MOTHER (sits down next to Jay, concerned) Why are you scared, Jay? You deserve to be happy. Taylor seems like a wonderful person.
JAY I know, Mom. But I can't help but compare her to Bella, my ex. I still have feelings for Bella, and it's making it hard for me to fully commit to Taylor.
Jay's Mother: I understand, Jay. But you have a wonderful wife now, Taylor. She loves you more than anything. Can't you see that?
Jay: (sighs) It's not that simple, Mom. Bella and I had plans, dreams. And now, they're shattered.
Jay's Mother: (pleadingly) Jay, I want you to be happy. Taylor wants you to be happy. We both want grandchildren. Children will bring so much joy into your life, into Taylor's life.
Jay: (frustrated) I know, Mom. But it's hard to move on. It feels like I'm betraying Bella's memory.
Jay's Mother: (softly) Jay, Bella wouldn't want you to be unhappy. She would want you to find love and happiness again. Taylor is a wonderful woman, and she deserves your love and devotion.
Jay: (pauses, reflecting) You're right, Mom. I've been so consumed by anger and grief that I've neglected Taylor. I need to give her a chance, for both our sakes.
Jay's Mother: (smiling) That's all I ask, Jay. Give Taylor a chance, and you'll see how wonderful your life can be together. And who knows, maybe one day, you'll have the family you've always dreamed of.
Jay's mother embraces him, offering comfort and support.
Jay: (softly) Thank you, Mom. I needed to hear that.
They both share a heartfelt moment, as Jay's mother reassures him that everything will be alright.

Jay stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his tie nervously. Today was the day he had been waiting for.
