Luna Moonbeam definitely felt good. She was pumped because she took down a convict with magic powers she didn't even know she had. These were all the reasons she was ready to ask out Logan. She wanted to do it by summer and the school year was almost over. She found him after the cops left.
"Hey, Logan," she said. "can I ask you something?"
"Sure,"
"Would you maybe want to go out sometime?"
"Well, umm..., I don't know," he answered and Luna's heart dropped down to her feet. "I think we should just be friends,"
"Oh, okay," she murmured as her eye began to sting. He let her be. Luna began to tear up.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Rexy asked when he saw her. So, she told him what happened.
"I am so sorry," he told her when she was done.
"It's fine," she said wiping away her tears. "I'm sorry about your loss,"
"Well, I mean, think about it," Rexy started. "From what Leo suggested, it sounds like he is still alive,"
"Good point," she said and their eyes locked. they stared at each other and something sparked. Luna doesn't know what happened that afternoon, but when they both walked out of the school, the two where holding hands.
