BORING (지루한)

Depuis le début

His locks bounced with the rain; a straightforward touch would result in a sweet addiction.

Then, as if she had broken out from a spell, Nari stepped back and looked away. Her hand on her chest, she frowned before her eyes wandered to the hybrid once again.

This time, he smirked.

This seemed to tick her off, so she quickly grabbed the umbrella and handed it to him.

" Take it. The rain doesn't seem to stop any time soon. "

She stood up and was about to leave the alley before the hybrid noted, " Is that it? Are you just going to leave? " His question sounded harsh, but the expression on his face showed otherwise. As if he was having fun.

" I'm going to call a cab. I can't get you to the Center all by myself. It's too far from here. "

" You won't find one. " He remarked.

She left without turning back. After a few steps, she looked around and took out her phone to order a taxi, but the rain made it hard for her to tap. After a few seconds that felt like minutes, she managed to get on the app, but to her despair, no one was around.

" Shit, why isn't there anyone around? " She then looked back at the alley.

She put her phone back in her pocket and walked toward the man. She crouched back and offered a hand.

" Can you get up? "

He nodded before he grabbed her hand. He hissed, and she gently put her arm around him and held him up.

" The Center is far, so is the hospital, and there is no cab nearby, so we are going to my place. It's near. "

The man remained wordless as he tightly gripped her, and together, they moved through the rain in profound silence.

As they arrived at the gate of her penthouse, the security guard noticed them. With a worried look, he asked if everything was okay, but Nari reassured him while she thanked him for his hard work.

Finally, after entering the elevator and pressing her floor, she finally arrived at her place. Surprisingly, she found a box again in front of her door.

" It's not even funny anymore... "

She kicked it inside as she opened the door after composing her code and carefully laid the man on her sofa.

" You better not bleed out on my sofa. I really like this one... " She removed her mask and hat and quickly walked toward her bathroom.

She took her first kit container and walked back to her living room. She sat on the small table before him and began to osculate him.

His breath was uneven, and his eyes were unfocused.

She cursed under her breath, " You are catching a fever... " She began to disinfect any visible injuries before she managed to make him drink an antipyretic. Then, she made him lie down and took off his shoes.

Finally, she sat on the floor next to him and exhaled.

" This is definitely not what I had in my mind an hour ago when I said I was bored... "

Calmly, she took out her phone and composed Namjoon's number.

" Hello? "

He grunted audibly, indicating that her call likely roused him from sleep.

" Oh, yeah, Namjoon? "

" ...Yeah, what's going on, Nari?"

She bit her lips before she started to explain the situation. " Can I drop him by tomorrow morning? I did what I could, but I'm afraid his injuries might be more severe. "

" Of course, yes. I will let Lisa and Taehyung know first thing in the morning. "

" Great, thanks "

The man hummed, "Except that... Are you okay? "

" Hm? "

" You know, with the death threats and all... "

" Ah, that? Nothing new. " She smiled. " You know me. It's not enough to shake me up. "

" I figured... Still, be careful. "

She nodded, " Don't worry; I will take care of it. See you tomorrow. Goodnight. "

" Good night. "

She ended the call before her eyes trailed at the mysterious box. She walked toward it as expected. Letters and blood filled the cardboard box with slurs and death threats.

She took her phone and took a picture of it.

At first, she was surprised to find such a thing in front of her home, but now it sounded like a broken record. The same threats, slurs, and so on.

" If you want to scare me, at least be more creative... "

But for now, a bigger problem was at her hands: That hybrid sleeping on her sofa. Now that she looked closely, he seemed to be stray since he had no collar around his neck.

" He really is... " Beautiful she thought. The injuries on his face weren't enough to disdain his beauty.

Feeling aware of herself, she averted her eyes. Slowly, she turned her eyes back at him and saw him still struggling. She quietly walked to her bathroom to get a wet towel.

" Guess I will be nursing you through the night... "
