I am a pebble by a shining star,
A grain beside the rolling, foaming sea,
An atom of the cosmos near and far,
A leaf adrift in the boundless lea.
I am a pebble by high mountains, rare,
A bolt within bridges to distant lands,
A whisper in the winds yond swiftly fare,
A spidering crack amongst shifting sands.
I am a pebble by endless black space,
A fleeting moment in eternity,
A flicker in time's intricate embrace,
A fragment in life's vast and wondrous plea.
I am a pebble 'neath the great expanse,
A part of all, merely a fleeting glance.
