The sun shone brightly over the Mauville City Gym, its rays reflecting off the polished floor and illuminating the battlefield where Mayu and Wattson stood opposite each other. The electric atmosphere was palpable, the anticipation building as the crowd eagerly awaited the clash between the young trainer and the experienced Gym Leader.

Wattson, with his signature grin and sparkling eyes, gestured towards the battlefield. "Are you ready, Mayu? Let's make this a battle to remember!"

Mayu nodded, her expression determined. "I'm ready, Wattson. Let's do this!"

The referee stepped forward, signaling the start of the battle. "This will be a three-on-three Pokémon battle between Mayu and Gym Leader Wattson. Only the trainer who manages to defeat all of their opponent's Pokémon will be declared the victor. Let the battle begin!"

Wattson chuckled, throwing his first Poké Ball into the air. "Go, Plusle!"

In response, Mayu selected her first Pokémon. "Electrike, I choose you!"

The two Pokémon faced each other, sparks flying as their electric energy filled the air.

"Plusle, use Spark!" Wattson commanded.

With a burst of speed, Plusle charged towards Electrike, its body surrounded by an electric aura.

"Dodge and use Thunder Wave!" Mayu countered.

Electrike swiftly evaded Plusle's attack, releasing a wave of electrical energy that paralyzed its opponent.

"Good job, Electrike! Now, follow up with Shock Wave!"

Electrike unleashed a powerful electric blast, striking Plusle directly and sending it tumbling across the battlefield. Despite the hit, Plusle managed to regain its footing, albeit with difficulty.

Wattson grinned, clearly enjoying the challenge. "Impressive! But let's see how you handle this! Plusle, use Encore!"

Before Electrike could launch another attack, Plusle danced gracefully, locking it into using the same move repeatedly.

"Electrike, snap out of it! Use Quick Attack!" Mayu shouted.

But it was too late. Bound by the Encore, Electrike was forced to use Shock Wave once more, allowing Plusle to dodge easily.

Wattson laughed heartily. "Now, Plusle, finish it with Spark!"

With Electrike immobilized, Plusle charged forward, delivering a powerful Spark attack that left Electrike unable to battle.

Mayu frowned, recalling her fainted Pokémon. "You did great, Electrike. Take a good rest."

She pondered her next move carefully, knowing that each choice could determine the outcome of the battle.

"I choose you, Grovyle!" Mayu declared, sending out her grass-type Pokémon.

Wattson raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her choice. "A grass-type, eh? This should be interesting!"

The battle continued with Grovyle and Plusle exchanging powerful blows, each Pokémon showcasing their unique abilities and strategies. Grovyle's agility and sharp leaves proved to be a formidable match for Plusle's electric attacks.

After a fierce exchange, Plusle was finally defeated, leaving Wattson with two Pokémon remaining.

Wattson smirked, sending out his next Pokémon. "Go, Manectric!"

The majestic electric Pokémon appeared on the battlefield, its mane bristling with electrical energy.

"Grovyle, use Leaf Blade!" Mayu commanded.
