Chapter 1 Strange and Where?

" Where the heck are we?" I , don't know lady I'm just as lost as you! " So ,are you telling me that big blast happened , that blinding light now ,were somewhere weird?" Yeap , and I haven't seen a single store, phone ,light in two days!

"I ,woke up by a river so I just followed it and ... Found me! "So , what are you a military man?" Yes ! Tenth , generation of military the special forces !

" That's , good but do you have any tools?" He stopped ... I , was shopping with my wife, and son!
" Mmm , sorry I hope we can get back!" As , we walked through this prehistoric forest I froze...

I grabbed his shirt "Shh!" Pointing to this huge field... Dinosaurs! " No , wonder we haven't seen any modern technology!"

He , gestured that we move along and... that's , fine with me I didn't want to spook ,or piss off dino. We , continue on to place that was near the water but , it didn't look as though anyone or, anything had stayed there .

It , was dome shaped with a regular door. Vines , grew over it and I was surprised see " Hey , soldier this looks like stuff from home!" Yes , it is very strange! Let's , stay here tonight!

I , looked in the rooms " There's , some old bed stuff there! " He didn't say anything as he was fiddling with wires in a box he attached two and dim lights came on .

He , sat against the wall staring off in thought " If , this is prehistoric Earth then the same fruits ,and vegetables should be safe to eat !"
Yes, but trapping our meat source will be tricky!

I nod in agreement " But ,this dome house has something like our modern home stuff ! What ,if it isn't Earth?" Don't ,be ridiculous! I , didn't want to argue seeing how we're both in this situation.

It , was getting dark so...
that ,night he took a blanket ,and I , took the other sleeping by the opposite wall... I , stretched rubbing my eyes " Good morning!" He just nodded... If , you're hoping for more than a roof... Forget , it the closest log is our toilet! He , said rolling a vine up that felt like a rope..

" Hmm , well we should go look for food , and possible people here!" He nodded " I'm , going to the log!" I , took my pants down and let the waters fall , as relief washed over me .

I , grabbed a leaf to wipe with and , felt like I was being watched I , looked around and , didn't see anything obvious but then some movement in my peripheral...

A ,flash of red , then a white snake flew without wings above I look carefully and went inside " Soldier!" What happened? " Um , I think we have a world where , snakes fly without wings ! BIG ONES! Unless there dragons!"

Hey cadet think clearly! We are relying on each other here! " I'm , Jessica twenty five years old and holding!" Yeah and I'm Elvis!
" Thank ya , thank ya very much!"
I said theatrically.

He finally chuckled a bit.. We , went on our little walk . I , managed to find fruits that taste like peach , and ice cream so we fashioned a bag , out of the blanket.

Look here ! A big potato! We managed to get that and then froze as we looked into the eyes.
There , all golden eyed naked ... Chief , this puu is strange and the male...

He , looks as this alien woman who isn't bald with a big head ,or any of that but , golden haired and pretty with decorations beads in...

I thought " How , can I understand them?" He ,looks at me with interest " My ,name is Jessica we aren't sure where we are! There , was a blast and I woke up near the river , and found him further down river!"

He smiled... What, is your relationship , with this male specimen? " We're , friends a only since we have helped ,each other but he has a family back home!"
What ,are your race called? "We're , from planet Earth!"

Come with me! So , me and soldier went inside a much larger dome as he looks through star charts , and a device , which pulls up a picture ... This place? ... Yes looks right! Soldier stated.. There ,were troops sent to investigate , strange flux in energies but they haven't returned yet! " Where are we ?"
