Mihir was cleaning his t shirt with a wet tissue inside the men's washroom. Janvi was waiting outside.
"Mihir...." Said Janvi as soon as he came out of the washroom.
"Janvi please try to understand, stay away from me I am the one who is mingling problems in your life......" Said Janvi
"But you saved me......please tell me what is going on....." Said Janvi
"I can't tell you here." Said Mihir
"Then tell me somewhere else...." Said Janvi
Mihir ignored her and left the canteen area. Janvi followed him.
Janvi was determined to know whatever was happening. Mihir took the staircase and reached the 3rd floor. This time the floor was empty, not even a single worker was there. Janvi hesitated a bit but then followed Mihir.
"Stop coming after me. I am not going to tell you anything." Said Mihir
"I have the right to know." Said Janvi
"I feel ashamed of it, please don't force me....." Said Mihir
"No one can hide a truth forever, it comes out some day...." Said Janvi
"Then wait for that day when the truth comes out!" Shouted Mihir
Janvi stood silent.
"Okay if you don't want to tell me now, it's okay I will wait, but until you tell me the truth I will not return to my mess, I will not even go to the classes, I will stay here all day alone." Said Janvi
"Stop acting childish." Said Mihir
Janvi ignored him and moved towards the last row of the empty classroom. She put on her ear phones and sat on the last bench comfortably.
Mihir got irritated and left the classroom.
It was 8pm. Niti was waiting for Janvi so that they could go and have their dinner, but there was no trace of Janvi.
Niti called Mihir.
"What are you guys up to." Said Niti
"Who is up to what." Said Mihir
"You and Janvi." Said Niti
"Nothing." Said Mihir
"Then why is she not here till now, she went after you in the afternoon and since then there is no clue of her." Said Niti
"What!?" Said Mihir
"Sometimes I feel it's you who has created fuss in her life." Said Niti
"She will be back soon." Said Mihir
"Ahh, I was right you know where she is, stop....." Said Niti
Mihir disconnected the call before she could complete.
Mihir reached the 3rd floor of the academic block. It was all dark, there was no trace of light. Mihir pushed the door of the classroom where he had left Janvi. There was no light. He switched on the last tubelight. There was Janvi sitting on a bench with her head down.
Mihir reached her in silence. He moved his hand through his hair. Janvi had fallen asleep.
He sat in the desk next to Janvi's, facing her.
"Janvi, get up.....please don't put me into a situation from where it's hard to come out." Murmured Mihir
She woke up.
"You are here, finally, come on now, I am ready to listen to the story, please begin..." Said Janvi
Mihir was silent. He looked down.
