Peter POV

As I heard Mr. Stark's words, my heart started racing with excitement and nervousness. I couldn't believe some of the Avengers would have dinner with me. Despite my best efforts, my eyes were still puffy from crying earlier, and I was struggling to keep my emotions in check.

After a few moments, Mr. Stark noticed my distress and reassured me that it was just Nat, Bird Brain, Banner, and Wanda who were coming over.

He chuckled at my reaction and tried to lighten the mood. I took a few deep breaths and wiped my face, trying to compose myself as best I could. It was difficult, given my recent injuries - cuts on my face and a bad limp on my Leg.

Despite my physical limitations, Mr. Stark was helping me walk over to the dining room. It was surreal to think that Iron Man himself was holding me up, but I was grateful for his support. As we made our way down the hall, I couldn't help but feel excitement and nervousness about what the evening would bring.

As we entered the dining room, I could see everyone sitting at the table, including Pepper. They all greeted me with warm smiles. I was pleasantly surprised to see my favourite pasta on the table, but my body wasn't starving - I had eaten way too much in the past few days. I don't deserve this food.

"Hey, Peter, right?' Dr Banner asked, sitting across from me.

" Yes, sir, I saw you in the lab earlier. You're working on some cool stuff."

Bruce gave a bit of a chuckle as a response.

" I saw your intern test results; they're impressive." He nodded

" Oh, uhm, thank you, Dr Banner." I humbly look down at my plate, put a small portion on it, and move it around with my fork, trying to make it look like I've eaten some food.

"Ah yes, Pete, the test results; I was talking to Pep, and I think you would be a great match for me.. well, an Intern in my lab. I'd really love to work closely with you. Your results were really outstanding." Mr Stark spoke across the chattering table, which soon went quiet, with all eyes on me.

" That is if you would like to work in my lab." He added

"Oh my gosh, yes, double yes, are you sure, Mr Stark? I don't want to get in your way, But I would love to work in your lab!!!" I stumble in shock. There's no way I'm awake; I start pinching my arm hard, but it was really Tony Stark who just asked me to work for him. I can't wait to tell Aunt May.

During their conversations, I was amazed at how down-to-earth and friendly everyone was. They talked about their favourite movies and hobbies and shared embarrassing stories. Mr Barton was showing me some of his scares from the attack on NYC, and Miss Romanoff was talking about teaching me some self-defence. I went along with it even though I'm Spiderman; they can't know; no one can see a spider is just a kid; I'll never live it down. I felt like I was just hanging out with a group of friends rather than dining with superheroes. After moving the food on my plate, I have gone unnoticed in not eating and claim I'm full, taking my plate to the kitchen.

"So kid, We like to do movie nights around here. You wanna join us tonight?" Mr Stark offers.

" Uhm, sure, that would be cool", I reply calmly. When realistically, deep down, I was panicking, movie night with the Avengers, oh my gods, what the heck. I watched everyone sit down on the bean bags and couches.

Mrs Potts and Mr Stark are sitting on a corner cuddling; Mr Barton is seated next to Miss Romanoff, who is then next to Miss Wanda. I wander over to an empty bean bag away from everyone and sit down, curling up into a small ball facing the TV and away from everyone, slightly panicked to be in this situation.

As the movie started playing, I tried my best to focus on it and ignore the fact that I was sitting in the same room as some of the most famous superheroes in the world. However, I couldn't help but steal glances at them occasionally.

At one point, Mr. Stark noticed my discomfort and came over to sit next to me. "Hey, kiddo, you seem a little nervous. You okay?" he asked.

I nodded, trying to hide my nerves. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little overwhelmed, I guess," I replied.

Mr. Stark gave me a reassuring smile and patted my back. "Don't worry about it, Peter. We're all just people here. And hey, if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask, okay?" he said.

I nodded gratefully, feeling a little more at ease. It was nice to know that Mr. Stark had my back. As the movie ended, the group started dispersing, and I began to leave the room, ready for bed. But before I could leave, Miss Romanoff stopped me.

"Hey, Peter, I was serious about teaching you self-defence earlier. You up for it?" she asked.

I nodded eagerly, feeling a surge of excitement. "Yeah, definitely. That would be awesome," I replied.

Miss Romanoff grinned. "Great. When your Leg and head are all healed, we can start," she said before walking away.

I couldn't believe it. Not only was I working for Mr. Stark, but I was also going to be trained by Black Widow herself. It was surreal. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face when I returned to my room.
