I had always been a skeptic when it came to love. I had seen too many relationships fail and too many hearts broken to believe in the idea of a perfect, everlasting love.
I had always believed that love was just a temporary illusion, something that people clung to in order to feel fulfilled and complete.
My lack of faith in love would often lead to conflict with my friends and family, who were all happily in love.
They couldn't understand how i could be so cynical and closed off to the idea of love.
But i have my reasons, and i wasn't about to let anyone change my mind.
That is, until i met Haerin.
It was a chance encounter, a meeting that would change my life forever.
I had gone to the local coffee shop to escape the cold winter weather. I was alone, as usual, and chose a quiet corner to sit and read my book.
But little did i know that fate had other plans for me.
Haerin walked into the coffee shop, her long brown hair cascading down her back, and a warm smile on her face.
I couldn't help but notice her beauty, but i quickly brushed it off and went back to my book.
