Honkai Star Rail: A Ben Across Space

Chapter 1

"Ben Simulation"

Ben and Stelle saw Arlan talking to himself so they decided to walk over to him

Arlan: ...If only I'd caught the Antimatter Legion sooner...

Stelle: How're you feeling?

This took Arlan by surprise by soon smiled

Arlan: I'm fine, this pain is nothing, really. I'm used to it. In fact, I should be proud of it. It's a reminder of being able to protect everyone

Then he suddenly a bit wary

Arlan: Ahem, but don't tell Lead Researcher Asta what I just said

Ben: Don't worry, I get you. I didn't want to tell my parents my hero duties either as they get worried when I'm hurt

Arlan smiled

Arlan: Thank you Ben and thank you for asking Stelle

She nodded with a smile

Arlan: Any other questions?

Stelle: How's the space station?

Ben: Yeah, these Antimatter Legion seems to be no joke

Arlan paused before looking a bit somber

Arlan: There were a few researchers who didn't make it...

This revelation caused Ben and Stelle to stare in shock and despair

Ben: (If only the Omnitrix worked sooner...)

Ben gritted his teeth, he loved being a hero, but one thing that hurts him the most is being too late or not being able to save someone. Arlan decided to replace his frown with a smile

Arlan: The rest are fine, mostly minor injuries. But I'm worried about their mental states

This causes a relief to both Ben and Stelle, knowing that atleast most were safe

Arlan: Most of them came to the space station because they admired Madam Herta. But now they can't reach her or even their own families. I just hope they can all survive this crisis

This causes Ben to frown

Ben: As much of a great woman she may be, I'm starting to not really like this Herta lady

Honestly speaking, it reminded him of his first time he met Azmuth, where he believed that Azmuth didn't really care about the universe due to the Omnitrix self-destructing. While this, Stelle tries her best to change the subject, she looks around and spots Asta. She then turns to Arlan

Stelle: What's Asta like?

Arlan showed interest in answering her question

Arlan: My first impression was that she was the daughter of a rich family — owners of a big company

He chuckled at the thought

Arlan: She was kind to me though. When she went to the space station, I followed her

He gave a small smile at the end

Arlan: I don't know much about science, but I'm glad to be able to protect people in pursuit of their research

This causes Ben to think for a bit... Until it finally clicked him

Ben: Wait wait! You're not a researcher?!
