Too Cool To Be Annoyed

It was Saturday, I tried not to sleep in because its Jacobs BBQ and I have a tendency to sleep in until lunch time.

I jumped the warm shower and washed my hair

I sat in the shower for exactly 28 minutes until I finally gathered the energy to jump out.

I walked in my room with a towel wrapped around my body and one wrapped around my hair and threw on a fitted tartan dress with collars , the dress ended mid thigh which highlighted my tanned legs

I loosed the towel on my hair and let my loose, damp curls fall down. I put some hair creme in it and left if down.

I didn't wear make up because who am I trying to impress?

I put on low, white converses and grabbed a white satchel and made my way down stairs. I have a big collection of trainers because thats all I wear, whats the point of wearing shoes that squeeze the shiteness out of your feet?

I sat in my living room silently waiting for Jacob

"Hazel why aren't you in a T-shirt watching Netflix on your iPad?" My mother asked concerned "Are you ill?" She asked sarcastically

"Why are not at a strangers house having sex? Are you sick" I replied

"I was just finishing him off for you" she commented "Because you do a bad job" my mother sniggered

Yes, my mother says them kind of things.

"A jokes not funny when you have to explain it. One of these days mum" I warned

"Finish of your sentence?" She asked
"What?"
"One of these days what?" She curiously asked

"Its a saying you simpleton" I replied, annoyed

"Where are you going, honey?" She asked

"You never call me honey." I bluntly replied

"Where are you going Hazel?" She corrected

"Finland" I smiled

"Okay, make sure you call me if theres any 'finish' guys you need me to 'finish' off for you" she joked

I tried not to laugh but I'm a sucker for lame jokes

I heard the familiar beep of Jacobs car and walked out the house

When he saw me walking out he immediately jumped out the car and stood waiting for me to get to him

His eyes were shining through his wide frame glasses

"Hazelnut, you look so beautiful" he said spinning me around

He was wearing a colourful graphic collared shirt with shorts on and snazzy trainers

"J-doggy dog" I said before giving him a hug

I jumped in his car and he put on a hip hop radio station

The rap blasted out of his car speakers

His head bopped to the beat

"I never took you for the rap kind" I said looking impressed

"I just found this radio station and couldn't be bothered to change it" he said waving it off

He began rapping along to a snoop dog track that was currently playing

"Sipping on gin and juice" he jammed

"Snoop dog, j-dog hmm coincidental" I thought out loud, Im always looking for coincidences

"Im thinking of changing my name to J-Lion, though no one will call me it,"

"Will you? He asked hopingly
"No, i'll call you 'J-Cub', ha get it?" I smiled like a geek
