I looked at the outside as I waited, it was already dark.

I am wearing my simple light blue summer dress that reached my ankles with an intricate criss cross back. The night wasn't that cold so I’ll be fine. My hair was in a bun and I only brought with me my phone and wallet.

I opened my phone but he doesn't have an update yet if the meeting is already finished or if pwede na ba akong sumunod sa kanya.

I took the stairs and sat on the vacant chairs outside for the waiting area. From here, I can't see him among the customers so they might have been in a private room.

Instead, I opened my phone again and entertained myself. The meeting might not have been finished yet, kaya maghihintay na lang muna ako.

And I heard some familiar voices too.

I looked at my side and looked at the staff as he opened the door. I was not mistaken. El is with some people very familiar to me.

He is with his Mom and Dad and some other unfamiliar people.

I am not so ready for this encounter.

And it wasn’t good.

For sure they are mad at me.

I felt ashamed inside.

I bit my lips and looked at him nervously.

“I didn't expect that they would be here.” Kaagad niyang pauna.

“And I already told them about us…and they wanted to talk to you tomorrow if ever.” He informed me carefully.

“But I told them that you might not feel ready yet so…we don't need to force yourself to talk to them.”

His eyes look more worried than ever for me.

Despite the nervousness that I was feeling, kaagad akong umiling a kanya. I don't think I have a choice on that one, lalo na at ako naman ang nang-agrabyado.

“I—I can talk to them. I want to talk to them.” I bravely responded.

It is probably my time to say my apologies, taon na rin ang nakalipas at hindi na rin tama kung papatagalin ko pa ang hindi namin pag uusap.

He looked at me carefully then slowly nodded his head. I remained on his back, as he blocked my vision.

My body was freezing cold with the nervousness that I was feeling but somehow looking at our intertwined fingers at his back made me feel comfort.

“Mom, Dad, we’ll talk tomorrow over dinner.”

As much as I wanted to talk to them right now, I wasn't mentally ready for this sudden meeting. Kahit simpleng pagbati ay hindi ko magawa.

Humigpit ang kapit ko sa kamay niya.

“Okay…then we’ll see you both tomorrow.”

My mind was in haze and I was only able to get back to reality when El caressed my exposed back with his palm.
