I know this is not one of the usual pairings, but I just ran out of ideas rn

Seb

I was sitting at the bar and drinking something alcoholic while talking to my friend Kimi. He just came back from holidays and we wanted to meet and talk. The songs they played were mostly old, so we both started vibing when we knew some. The drinks also weren't bad and altogether the bar was one of the good ones in the city.

"So, any news?" Asked Kimi and smiled slightly.
"No, I don't think so. I had a lot of work and not much time."
"So still single?" I only nodded. He knew me for quite a long time and he even tried to help me find someone. It was all for nothing, it often ended with one night stand and after that we never met again.

Kimi was already married, but I was a bit younger, so it didn't stress me out that much.

I looked around and saw no one familiar. Then someone requested a song I didn't know that much, but it sounded good. I saw a few people leaving the dance floor and in the middle was a man. He was dancing alone by himself, everybody just looking at him. It didn't seem to bother him, because he continued dancing while the biggest smile was still on his face.

I was stunned to be honest. He looked so chill, even though some of his dance moves were off the rhythm or weird. Some people were laughing in the corners and pointing at him. I frowned at them and Kimi noticed.

"What?" He asked shortly. I knew what he was talking about even if he said only one word.
"Nothing."
The guy started singing. His voice was good, but his singing sounded bad to be absolutely honest. I'm not the best at singing myself, but I wouldn't have the courage to sing and dance in the middle of a crowded place.

"Dancing with myself oh-oh-oh..."
He sang and I didn't know, whether I should join him in his dance or not.
Fortunately the song ended, so I didn't have to make the decision. The guy laughed and walked of the dancefloor while clapping his hands. Someone was cheering for him to continue and most of the people were just laughing at the man. He whether didn't notice, or it didn't bother him at all.

When I turned to Kimi, I noticed he wasn't there anymore, probably went to get more drinks.
After a few minutes he was back.
"He's there every day, dancing, he's the club dancer or they at least call him that. Always dancing with himself. Nobody ever joins him. They even said that he's cursed to dance until somebody joins him. Don't know if that's true, sounds like some crazy fantasy movie." Kimi said and I was looking at him wide eyed.

"How do you know?"
"I asked."
"But who?"
"People?"
"No I mean...never mind."

We continued talking and drinking for a few hours and the guy from earlier seemed to disappear after the dance.

We left the bar around midnight and said our goodbyes. I sent one last glance in the bar's direction and started walking home.

The next day I was at the bar again. Same place, same time, but this time without Kimi. I was sure he knew I was here though. I waited for the man from the day before, but he was nowhere to be seen. I even considered going home, when suddenly I heard a familiar song. I was surprised, because it was the same song as before. Dancing with myself.

What was even weirder was that the man wasn't there dancing or singing. He wasn't there at all. Some people were confused and looked around as I did, but the others probably didn't go there often to realize something was wrong.
Then I heard someone sitting at the bar talking.
"I don't wanna go..."
"You have to."
"I want to be free. Not dancing here forever."
"I know, but I can't help you."

Then, in the middle of the song he appeared in the middle of the dancefloor and started dancing again with the same smile as yesterday. He started singing and the people started to leave the floor. It was weird. It looked as if the floor just started burning their legs so they had to go away.
