"Hey Liv." Monique greeted me through the phone. "Hi Mon." I waved back to her through the screen. "We're gonna have a barbecue next Saturday, the boys and their partners are gonna be there, too. Did you want to come?" Monique grinned. "Umm -" "Yes, you are." She cut me off and I playfully rolled my eyes.
"Only if she doesn't drool over Charlie." Pat scoffed. "Pat! Don't say that!" Monique told him off and now I actually rolled my eyes. "Only if he doesn't drool over Charlie." I mimicked my older brother. "Shut up, Liv." Pat came into view to look at me. I stuck the middle finger up at him. "Keep walking, dad." I joked.
Pat is just so overprotective. I look at any man, he gets angry. That's just Pat being Pat. I'm grateful and all, but he always needs to know who I'm talking to.
"So, you'll be there next week?" Monique asked. "Yep." I sighed. "Is Leni coming?" Monique questioned, I thought about it for a moment before deciding to just take her to my parents house. "No! Please bring her. Only if you want to, of course." Monique replied. "Nah, Mum and Dad haven't seen her in a while so I'll take her there. Besides, she'll be handful." I chuckled as I continued to talk to Monique for a bit longer before hanging up.
Wait, what if Charlie goes? Isn't that gonna be... awkward.
