(Daniel)

James walked outside the bathroom.

"Better?" I asked.

He nodded.

"Need a lift downstairs again?" I grinned.

"I think I can do that on my own..."

"Boy, what's so wrong with you."

I quickly lifted him up again and we walked downstairs.

"Daniel? Why are you carrying him?" my mum asked.

"I can't walk very well" James replied.

"Okay, James. I suggest you sit down and then tell me this whole thing. Daniel?"

I understood and left the room.

(James)

"What's with your knee?"

"I got punched and kicked a lot... It's damaged."

"Who did that?"

"My dad..."

While saying the word 'dad' the tears came up in my eyes again.

"Your dad?"

"And the bullies..."

"You should go to a doctor."

"I can't, I have no money."

"Daniel's father, my husband, is one. He'll have a look at it."

"That's not necessary."

"It is. You have to get it sorted out."

"Yeah...."

"But James, why did this all happen?"

"I am not normal."

"Why?"

"You don't what to know."

"James...."
