Hayate Midori is a teacher at Jippou Academy, he studies biological animals & insects. He is from a family who are samurai. Hayate doesn't want to become a samurai so he joins the Jippou Academy as a teacher and helps the student.
Hayate walks back to his home but he is captured by Koroi Faction's Ninja who turns him into a cyborg, he was tortured and brainwashed by Shocker. Later he became Hopper 2 and worked with Cobra to hunt Kamen Rider Ichigo & Crescent Moon Clan.
When Hayate spies on Ichiro and Haruka, he decides to confront Ichiro in the battle of the park, and they decide to fight each other before Ichiro defeats Hayate. But when Hayate remembers what's happened to him, he realizes what he has done to everyone.
He decides to join Ichiro's team and fight the Shocker, he knows he can't run away from Shocker so he will fight them. He met Subaru who became her partner, and Hayate and Ichiro work together to stop the Shocker & Noroi Faction while protecting humans.
