"Cousin! Did you hear?!"
The sound of loud footsteps broke the silence as they approached the sleeping boy, caught between the realms of wakefulness and sleep.
Gradually waking up from his sleeping state, he became aware of a chair being drawn closer to his desk, amplified by the distinct screech of its legs scraping across the floor.
It was times like this where Sakusa was left alone and unbothered that he took his mask off.
"Oh my god!" his cousin exclaimed, exasperated.
"I can't believe you're still sleeping at this hour! Anyways, there are two new students who just transferred from Germany, and guess what?"
"They're twins!"
Sakusa let out an exasperated sigh, his eyelids heavy with fatigue still.
He directed his gaze towards his cousin, who beamed mischievously at him in return.
"Seriously, Toya? Why are you so loud? I can hear you perfectly fine, you know that right," Sakusa grumbled with thinly-veiled annoyance.
