Jack (Movie)

This is a request by NewsieGoil152. I hope that I do this prompt justice.

"I guess I'm not good at this." Jack stared at the Delancey brothers who were trying to scramble away.
"What, being something you're not?" Davey said as he gripped is stomach.
Jack shook out his hands,"No, bein' smart." He helped Sarah off the ground. "Now, we need ta git back ta da lodge house and let da odda Newsies know dat Deir Cowboy's back." He led Sarah and Les out of the alley and Davey followed him.
"How 'bout I go ahead of you and let them know that you're on our side. I don't want heads busted." Davey stepped in front of Jack and separated jack from the street.
Davey grabbed his brother and sister's hands and started running in the general direction, not waiting for Jack's reply.
"Alright, Ise guess dats what weah gonna do..." Jack sighed, leaned against the wall, and ran a hand through his dirty caramel hair.
"JACK KELLY!"
His head snapped to the sound of the voice. Kayleigh Lennox's short curly brown hair bounced with every determined step she took. Her blue eyes trained on him.
"Kayleigh... Look I can explai-" the palm of her hand connected with is cheek.
"How DARE you turn your back on those boys!" She poked her index finger at his chest. "They look up to you, and you just left them for dead! How could you be so selfish! Is Santa Fe really worth loosing you BROTHERS over?! Because if it is than-" before she could finish her rant, Jack Kelly's lips were on hers, silencing her.
When he finally pulled away. She slapped him again. "What the hell was that for?!"
"Ta shut youse up! I'm sorry, I turned me back on da boys! Ise was a fool! Santa Fe isn't wort loosin' ma family forah. It isn't wort losin' you Kayleigh." He gripped her shoulders and explained his situation.
In that instant all anger for Jack Kelly melted from Kayleigh's eyes. When he was done explaining, tears sprang into Kayleigh's eyes and she was filled with guilt and remorse for her actions.
"Jack, I'm... I'm... I'm sorry. It's just... When you acted like that... You remind me so much of him... I just..." The tear spilled over and Jack gently used the pads of his thumbs to wipe away the tears.
"'Ey, ise would nevah do dose tings ta ya."
She rose her eyes to meet his. The two slowly leaned toward each other. Jack glanced at her lips, and slowly rose her chin so that their lips could meet in a soft and gentle kiss.
