-welcome to my first Harry Potter fic. Of course, I've watched all the movies a million times and have read each of the books once. I have a good grasp of the lore but am prone to mistakes. I will try not to drone on too long in explanation of the HP lore, given that you readers should already know this stuff, but I will be writing it out in a fashion as if Hogwarts is a semi new concept. If you are unaware, this is a crossover of My hero academia and the Harry potter universe. The story will include Bakudeku. (sorry I'm obsessed) the story does take place during the original Harry potter timeline, where Deku is in the same year as Harry. I may switch POV's between Deku and Bakugo, It is undecided. Enjoy!

Izuku POV

"Get out of my way weakling!" Kachan said as he pushed me aside. Unfortunately, I smashed right into the wall of the hallway. Students skirted around me in an effort to avoid my presence. On another sad note, my best friend Uraraka was in the infirmary from playing quidditch yesterday, being supported by Iida. I would be there too, but I had to deliver papers to Professor McGonagall.

I am Izuku Midoriya, age 15 and in my 4th year of Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry.

I'll tell you a little about myself. As mentioned before, my two best friends are Uraraka and Iida. I met them in my first year of school. Uraraka plays keeper for the Hufflepuff team. My team. In Hogwarts, first year students are sorted into houses based on their personalities.

There's Gryffindor for those who are brave and loyal. They often lead crowds and make bold decisions. Their crest is of a lion- colors red and gold.

Hufflepuff, my house, for those who are kind and caring. They look out for others before themselves. The crest is a badger- colors black and yellow.

Ravenclaw, for the intelligent. They can be a little abrupt but are still nice people. Iida is in Ravenclaw. Their crest resides in a raven, of course- and the colors are blue and bronze.

Lastly there's Slytherin. People who fall into this category aren't necessarily evil, but generally rude. They strive to get their way. They are slick and cunning. Kachan, or otherwise known as Bakugo Katsuki by everyone else but me, falls into this house. The house's crest is a serpent, and the colors are green and silver.

I've known Kachan since childhood, hence the nickname. I'd say we used to get along well. As neighbors, we would always hang out. Even in grade school you could catch us sitting together at lunch and talking about our favorite comic book superhero- All Might. Kachan was a little mean sometimes, always putting himself above me, giving that he strives to be the best. One day, I received an acceptance letter to Hogwarts. My parents were non magical. Kachan also received a letter. His family was purebloods. I hadn't known this prior. When he found out I was accepted, something turned in Kachan. For some reason, he hated me, and I never knew why.

Over the years, Kachan has insulted me a little less. We don't necessarily talk, but I think the significant decrease of the nickname 'mudblood' and the replacement of my usual childhood nickname 'deku' aka useless, is a good sign. Maybe someday we can be good friends, or at least work together peacefully. I hope so.

As you just saw, Kachan is having a bad day, seeing that he felt the need to push me into a wall. Of course, it's inconvenient and I wish he didn't take his anger out on me, but I don't want Kachan to get in any more trouble than he's already always in. I admire him and hope he becomes a spectacular wizard, even with his explosive personality.

I don't know what put him in such a shitty mood, but I have a feeling word will get to me sooner or later. People at this school are so gossip prone. For example, just about anything and everything that Harry Potter does gets around the school. He's the most famous wizard that goes here, aside from our headmaster, Dumbledore. I feel bad for the kid. He's in our year, so I see a lot of him, even if he's not in my house. Harry seems like he doesn't really like the attention he gets, aside from what others say.

Also, there's another platnum blond Slytherin pure blood that happens to be the talk of the school like Kachan. His name is Draco Malfoy. Aside from those things, they don't get along very well, both wanting to be the best there is. Also, Malfoy is rich and snobby. He tends to be lazy and does not work very hard for what he wants. This is the opposite of Kachan. Kachan will do anything, even if its petty, just to be the best or right. He works so hard and pours into his studies. I've witnessed this firsthand.

In our second-year defense against the dark arts class, we had a few dueling lessons, and I was once pinned against him.

I remember it like it was yesterday...

I was simply talking to Uraraka about the events that had happened in the class the previous day- when Harry Potter was pinned against Draco Malfoy and had turned out to be a parseltongue, someone who can speak to snakes. Because of my chatter, Snape set eyes on me, and of course picked me to go up on the dueling platform.

Even if I'm not in Ravenclaw, I too, pour into my studies like Kachan. We both might not be in that house because of our overwhelming other personalities. I'm very high in my class grades wise. I've studied other people's tactics and books on dueling. I can perform a plethora of basic defense spells, and 1 or 2 advanced ones.

That's why I was confident as I stepped on the stage. Okay, maybe not confident, I have stage fright and didn't like all the eyes on me, but nonetheless I wasn't scared of my opponent....

Not at all...

Until Snape practically searched my mind of the only person I couldn't fight, and accordingly called upon Kachan to fight me.

My eyes were like wide fearful saucers, watching Kachan stomp up the steps of the platform, hands in his pockets.

Long story short, after a good 3 minutes of me putting up the best fight I could for my childhood best friend and someone who is better at magic than I am, I lost, and he won.

I sighed, recalling the events as I walked through the non-crowded halls. It was the weekend so there weren't any classes and everyone that was loitering in the halls was in their casual clothes, not the usual black cloaked uniform. I was wearing my usual light blue T-shirt that said shirt and black cargo pants.

The heavy stack of papers was starting to become an itch in my arms while I carried them. It was a good thing that I was almost at Professor McGonagall's office.
