Where It All Ends

A wave of students run to the entrance of the school, screaming like there's about be a fight. I drag Issy up and follow the crowd. I push to the front and Marcus is staring at me as a police man walks him out in handcuffs. Handcuffs. It's over.

We're over. His job is over. He smiles at me and nods, tears spilling out both of our eyes. We're not sad because what will happen to us, whether he's sentenced for years or we never get a good job to pay rent.

But because we both know we're over. I try to smile but I can't, my bottom lip wobbles and my mouth drops open as a horrifying sound leaves it as I try and push through the officers. Marcus frantically tries running to me but we only touch pinkies which is enough for me.

"Ace the tests for me, Tasha!" he shouts back at me as he leaves the doors. I cover my mouth and fall into Issy and Jayden who sweep down to the floor with me.

"I love him" I sob, Issy rubs my back,
"I know, babe. I know" she replies. What am I going to do now? I can't pay rent for our apartment and the last thing I'll do is move back in with my sister Paige. It all went down.

It all ended, just like that. Where It All Ends.
