This research paper presents a portion of the Book of Revelation that is pertinent to the condition and action of the Church of Rome and to the designated rulers known as the Papacy. The beginning of this report shows historical events which will culminate in the end-time fulfilment of the Plan of Salvation as documented by Scripture.
Certain passages of Scripture present actions that can have permanent residual effects and are classified as axioms; these will be highlighted separately.
Revelation 1:1-2
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
The above passages demonstrate which of the members of the administration of Heaven were involved in the formulation of the Book of Revelation and demonstrate that this Book of Scripture is of utmost importance in presenting the final interpretation of end-time conditions. They were all involved – God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Angel, and the Apostle John. They are mentioned as follows:
God - The Father, The Ancient of Days
Angel - Gabriel, presumably; the chief Messenger sent to Daniel, Zacharias and Mary.
John - The Apostle who was banished to the Isle of Patmos by the Caesars
Jesus Christ - Who received the revelation from God the Father to be presented to the Church to document the time of the resurrection of the saints - those who were to be saved from the earth.
The Book of Revelation was to be made known to all, and nothing inherent in the Book was to be hidden. Once again, all would come to pass in the historical order as given by God, including the time of the end of the Redeemed from the earth.
