•I was shocked to learn that this man - whom I know nothing about - knows everything about me. It's terrifying.
"Listen, Mr. Persico, this is against the law," I say. He smiles and responds, "I am the law." I try again, "All right then, Mr. Persico -" but he interrupts me once again, "Romeo is fine." I narrow my eyes at him and continue,

"Mr. Persico, I do not want to work for you. What don't you understand? You are blackmailing me and that is against the law. You could be arrested for that." However, he didn't seem to care and didn't even seem fazed; he looked bored out of his mind. "Are you done?" he asked. "All right, because I don't think you get it. You keep talking about the law and the law that, Mia. The law won't and can't touch me. The law is terrified of me. The law wouldn't dare to cross me. I've got enough blackmail on almost anyone, it's terrifying. What makes you think I don't have blackmail on the law Let me burst your bubble, Mia. The law is not justice. The law has committed more crimes than most criminals that you have seen being locked up. So, don't try and bring up the law again because it won't work for me. And, Mia, if you think that this is me blackmailing you, then you have another thing coming. My number is already on your phone. Call me when you are ready to talk," he said, leaving the room. I was speechless throughout the whole conversation. I couldn't say anything, I didn't even move. I sighed, frustrated. Then, I got up and went to my car. I sat inside and then drove home. Today was a shitty day.
