Nox frowned slightly as they sat alone, reading a book they looked towards the other children of the orphanage playing with each other, a few of the children glancing at them with disgust everybow and then. They perked up when they saw one of the caretakers of the orphanage walked over the group of children with a goopy looking skeleton monster trailing behind her. They quickly shifted from their Basilisk form to the witch form and quickly walked towards the caretaker and skeleton, holding their book close to them. They hoped they got adopted this time as they started at the goopy skeleton with pure wonder in their eyes, not noticing the unseen glare the caretaker gave them.
