Comfort in the Shadows: Part 1

The day Dazai left the Port Mafia was a day that would forever be etched in Ryunosuke Akutagawa's memory. The man he had looked up to, the man who had trained him, had abandoned him and the organization they had both served. The betrayal cut deep, leaving Akutagawa feeling lost and broken.

Y/N, who had been a constant presence in Akutagawa's life, noticed the change in him. His usual composed demeanor was replaced with a quiet sadness that seemed to consume him. She knew she had to do something.

One evening, she found Akutagawa alone in his office, staring blankly at the wall. "Akutagawa," she called out softly, not wanting to startle him.

He turned to look at her, his eyes devoid of their usual fire. "What is it, Y/N?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Y/N took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. "I... I just wanted to check on you," she said, her voice filled with concern. "You've been... different, since Dazai left."

Akutagawa looked away, his hands clenching into fists. "I'm fine," he muttered, but his voice lacked conviction.

Y/N moved closer, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Akutagawa, it's okay to be upset. Dazai's departure... it wasn't your fault."

Akutagawa remained silent, his gaze fixed on the floor. Y/N squeezed his shoulder reassuringly, hoping to provide some comfort.

Days turned into weeks, and slowly but surely, Akutagawa began to open up to Y/N. They spent countless nights talking, with Y/N listening patiently as Akutagawa vented his frustrations and fears. She offered words of comfort and encouragement, reminding him of his strength and resilience.

With time, Akutagawa began to heal. The sadness in his eyes was replaced with determination, and he threw himself into his work with renewed vigor. But he was no longer the cold, distant figure he had once been. He was more open, more approachable, and it was all thanks to Y/N.

One day, as they were sitting in Akutagawa's office, he turned to Y/N with a serious look on his face. "Y/N," he began, his voice steady. "I... I wanted to thank you. For everything."

Y/N smiled, reaching out to take his hand. "You don't have to thank me, Akutagawa. I'm just glad I could be there for you."

Akutagawa looked at her, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Still, I... I appreciate it. More than you know."

And in that moment, Y/N knew that she had done the right thing. She had helped Akutagawa through one of the toughest times in his life, and in the process, they had grown closer than ever. She couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and happiness, knowing that she had been able to make a difference in Akutagawa's life.

Comfort in the Shadows :Part 2

After the incident with Dazai, life at the Port Mafia had returned to normal, or as normal as it could be. Y/N had been there for Akutagawa, helping him through his pain and betrayal. But there was another member of the Port Mafia who was also affected by Dazai's departure - Chuuya Nakahara.

"That fuckin' mackerel!" chuuya said slamming his hands on the table.

What he told Dazai wasn't true. He wasn't happy Dazai left, he felt sad. Depressed even.

One day, Y/N was taking care of some plants on the when she approached Chuuya, who was standing alone on the rooftop, staring out at the city. "Chuuya," she called out softly, not wanting to startle him. (don't ask why Y/N was on the roof top to begin with)

Chuuya turned to look at her, his blue eyes cold and distant. "What do you want, Y/N?" he asked, his voice devoid of its usual warmth.

Y/N took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. "Just wanted to check on you," she said, her voice filled with concern. "You've been very distant, since Dazai left."

Chuuya scoffed, turning away from her. "I'm fine," he muttered, but his voice is full of anger.

Y/N moved closer, placing a gentle hand on his arm. "Chuuya, it's okay to be upset. It's not your fault that Dazai left."

Chuuya remained silent, his gaze fixed on the city below. Y/N squeezed his arm reassuringly, hoping to provide some comfort.

Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months, but slowly but surely, Chuuya began to open up to Y/N. They spent countless nights talking, with Y/N listening patiently as Chuuya vented his frustrations and fears. She offered words of comfort and encouragement, reminding him of his strength and resilience.

With time, Chuuya began to heal. The coldness in his eyes was slowly disappearing, and he threw himself into his work with renewed vigor. But he was no longer the cold, distant figure he had once been. He was more open, more approachable, and it was all thanks to Y/N.

One day, as they were sitting in Chuuya's office, he turned to Y/N with a serious look on his face. "Y/N," he began, his voice steady. "Thanks for helping me."

Y/N smiled, reaching out to take his hand. "You don't have to thank me, Chuuya. I'm just glad I could be there for you."

Chuuya looked at her, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Still, I... I appreciate it. More than you know." he said giving her a forehead kiss

And in that moment, Y/N knew that she had done the right thing. She had helped Chuuya through one of the toughest times in his life, and in the process, they had grown closer than ever. She couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and happiness, knowing that she had been able to make a difference in Chuuya's life.
