"Bhai, Bondita is waiting for you at terrace.." Dhani told me before running downstairs
I looked at the wall clock, she is quite late today, shaking away all the thoughts I wore my shirt and left my room
Walking to the terrace, there she was going through her book silently, I cleared my throat and her eyes snapped towards me before going back on the book..
I sighed not getting the usual smile with a good morning made me realise that she was upset which I guess is right for her..
Walking towards her I sat beside her and she forwarded her notebook to me without me asking
I looked at all the answers that were written in a neat handwriting five times and hummed approvingly
"Have you learned all this answers?" I asked and she nodded fidgeting with her fingers
"Good, here solve the test then.." I said forwarding her the paper I prepared yesterday
She took it and started to note them down while I looked through her physics notebook and saw a lot of useless writings and weird drawing on her last page... I smiled at her childish antics where she has written a small story over a poor boy who hates studying
Post 15 minutes I heard her huffing and looked up only to see her frustrated face while she is trying to remove her baby hairs from her face
Keeping the book aside I slowly removed the baby hairs that were tickling her nose when my fingers brushed her forehead and I frowned feeling her burning.
Sitting straight I kept my hand on her forehead again and indeed she is burning with fever, I looked down at her and she was biting her lips nervously looking down
"Bondita you have fever, you shouldn't have come.." I exclaimed taking her pen away from her
"I..I did homework.." Bondita mumbled pulling on her tshirt sleeve
"I know....w.wait how did you get sick?" I asked her with a frown and she pouted
"Because I did homework.." she whispered wiping her nose and my frown deepened
"You got sick because you did homework?" I asked confusedly and she nodded
"I stayed up till 2 at night..." She said and I facepalmed myself
"Bondita I want you to study but doesn't mean I want you to get sick..." I said rolling my eyes at her stupidity
"But then you would have hit me.." she said throwing her hands
"When did I say I would hit you if you didn't do homework I said I would hit if you didn't do well in test...and I don't even hit that hard.." I exclaimed exasperated
"But I don't like disappointing you..." She said with wobbling lips and in no minutes innumerable tears started to cascade down her eyes
"W..why are you crying..shh.shh..stop crying..Bondita..sorry..sorry.. everything is my fault stop crying..." I panicked as she started sobbing and side hugged her rubbing her arms to calm her down
"Shh..shh..I am sorry..I am sorry..stop crying.." I mumbled rocking her back and forth and after crying and hiccuping for minutes she finally calmed down a little
"I will bring water for you, don't cry ok.." I whispered wiping her tears and she nodded looking down
Walking to the kitchen I groaned when I once again witnessed my sister standing so close to Vansh blushing while he whispered something in her ear
"Vansh I will fail you, I swear.." I warned and both of them separated immediately
"You won't sir.." Vansh said giving me a cheeky smile and ran away pulling my sister along who waved me bye
Mentally reminding myself that I need to have a talk with Dhani I took a glass of water and went back to terrace
Bondita was sitting silently with her head down on the table eyes closed, keeping the glass on the table I patted on her shoulder and she looked up at me I pointed towards the glass and she took it taking few sips
"Look Bondita.." I said sighing and sitting beside her
"I know what you are going through and it's normal for everyone I don't blame you, you are at that age where everything seems like a fairytale, but just because it seems to be a fairytale doesn't mean it's a fairytale.. life is very hard Bondita complete opposite of a fairy tale..and I just don't want you to ruin your whole life because of one silly attraction.." I said comfortingly and her eyes widened
"There is a limit of everything Bondita and one should realise that before time..you have to study for yourself not to make me or anyone else proud just for yourself, you should stay loyal to yourself what you have right now is just a phase it will go away you will get older and laugh at your own self, this everything will be just a funny story to tell.." I said and paused as she downed her face embarrassed
"There is no need to be embarrassed Bondita, I am your teacher and as a teacher it's my duty to show you right path even if that means being harsh on you and let you see the reality.. I would never want to be the reason of your problems.." I said patting her head and she looked up at me teary eyed
"What if it's not just attraction sir.." she asked me slowly blinking to prevent her tears from falling and I shook my head
"Like I said Bondita, one day you will get older and just laugh at this situation we are in..I am just your teacher and you are just my student Bondita nothing more nothing less this is the harsh reality of us Bondita..except it and please focus on your studies.." I said and she sniffed closing her books, packing her bag and running out
I ran my hands through my hairs and sighed
Damn it what actually is going on in my life...
