➴DAHYUN | The Bet

A few days, then weeks, then months had passed yet Dahyun showed no sign of leaving you anytime soon. "Dahyun, I beg you. Please leave me alone." You begged helplessly, feeling drained out of keeping up with her. "Just give me one chance Hyewon, I swear you won't regret it!" The ravenette reasoned. At this point, you were done with her, but your heart was for some stupid reason was not ready to compile with your mind. "FINE!" you yelled, it wasn't much of a hassle as the two of you were on the rooftop, alone. Dahyun's eyes lit up with joy. You could for one second see stars shining in her eyes, but it was not even 12 noon yet. Shaking off the weird thoughts you turned your head, looking away from her so that you could hide your cheeks that had a cherry tint on them. You couldn't register as to why, you're heart raced a mile a minute near her, how her little flirting was getting to you making your cheeks flash a tomato red tint, and as much as you denied it; you knew you had feelings for her. You fell out of your trance when Dahyun's right hand cupped your cheek, her left hand slithered around your waist- pulling you closer to her leaving zero space in between your bodies and lips centimeters apart from each other as she stared down in your hazel Orbs. Your hands rested on her shoulder while you began, "What do you think you're doing?" She flashed a sweet smile, "About ro kiss my Girlfriend." She said cockily. Your eyes widened, "Wait--"

 you were cut off when she pressed her lips on yours. Your eyes fluttered shut at the sensation. It was a foreign feeling, -as much as you'd hate to claim it- it was amazing. Her lips were soft and warm; enough to make your stomach do ten backflips in a row, and be filled with Butterflies. Her hand left your waist as a unbeknownst whine left your lips between the kiss, she smiled as she took your hand and draped it over her neck, doing the same with your other hand. Your fingers tangled themselves in her soft raven locks as you decided to enjoy the moment. Maybe, Dating Dahyun won't be as inadequate as you thought. And just like that, you made your relationship official. With holding each other's hands, eating lunch together, and more couple things you suppose. And the following months were bliss, you shared everything with her, your past, your experiences and even your body. You gave her yourself and more, letting her be your first in everything. And, you loved it, you loved her, and everything was perfect. Too perfect.

One day as usual, you came in the Cafeteria with a little smile on your face which grew wider when you spotted Dahyun but your smile was substituted by a frown when you saw her looking at you emotion-less. "Waht happened dubu?" You asked placing your tray of food on the table and your eyes fell on the two empty chairs that were of Chaeyeong and Tzuyu. She didn't answer and started eating, making your frown increase and your eyebrows came together in surprise and confusion. She hadn't ignored you anytime before, infant the raven haired actions were the exact juxtaposition. Your looked back when you heard someone, specifically Tzuyu call out your name, "Well, Well isn't it lil' Jung Hyewon?" "You know what, Story-Time!! Dahyun, would you mind coming here and showing off your great story-telling skills to your little girl." Tzuyu continued as she shot a glare at you and shared a honey-diped smile to Dahyun along with Chaeyeong. The ravenette stood up and went beside Tzuyu while you looked at her puzzled out of your mind. Dahyun took a deep breath as she started,

"Jung Hyewon, I've been lying to you. For a year now. I don't love you, you're dumb, you're a nerd, you're infact just a stupid girl who fell for my trap," She paused to look at you. You felt as though she punched you over and over as she spoke, leaving harsh remarks to you. "This was all a drama. An act. I was pretending to be nice and all lovey-dovey. I had made a bet with Tzuyu and Chaeyeong that I will make you fall for me and then break your heart." She continued bashing you more and more and your mind fell numb. You wanted to cry and scream as hard as your vocal chords could manage but you didn't do so, you weren't going to give them the reaction they want. Through you life you understood that the more you give the people the reaction they want, the worse they become- Some people find joy in others tears. You stood there, not a single ounce of emotion evident on your face. Once Dahyun finished her confession, everyone stood in anticipation for your reaction -which was nothing as of now- You sucked in a harsh breath, clicking your tongue and rolling your eyes as you leaned on the table. You applauded as you began, 

"Wow, Kim. What a shit show you presented. I'm at a loss of words. See I told you from the start, that if you think I'm like your other toys, then you're mistaken. I just want you to know, I love you so much that I can't even comprehend the said Quantity and I wish you the best in your life moving on. And just so you know, I don't hate you. Heck! I don't even dislike you, because, it was my fault. I thought you could be trusted but I forgot, you were a lying, dishonest, annoying, shifty, manipulating snake." You said with tears in your eyes, as much as you didn't want to show anyone your vulnerable side but your emotions got the best of you in the end. You ran off from there as Dahyun stared with tears also in her eyes. "Great job du---" Chaeyeong placed her hand on Dahyun's shoulder but she jerkerd it off and ran behind you as Chaeyeong and Tzuyu stared at her disappearing figure, dissatisfied. "She fell in love." The two said in union. 

"Hyewon, Hyewon please listen to me." She yelled behind you and grabbed your wrist pulling you with her. "What? Huh? What are you gonna tell me?" You asked with tears running down your face, sobbing with the occasionally sniffed.  "I love you, it's right I started as a bet but I love you! I fell for you Hyewon! I swear I will leave Chae and Tzu but please don't leave me!" She cried harder and you stared at her bewildered. You heart believed her and wanted to comfort her but your mind wasn't going to listen to her apologies. "Sorry, Dahyun. I love you. A lot. But, I don't want to lose myself chasing for you. Were done." You said and she looked up at you as she cupped your face and kissed you in denial. You pushed her away as much as your heart ached to do so. "No, Dahyun. We're not meant for eachother." You stated shaking your head. "No, Hyewon, please. I can't live without you!" She begged her sobs getting increased as she chanted 'please don't leave. Please' non-stop. "We're over." You said and ran out of the building as she cried looking at you running off into the distance and soon she was left with her uncontrollable sobs.

She called you hundreds of times, but only got the response that you had shut down your number. She tried to reach out for you thousands of times through people, different phones and whatever she could think of, but to no avail, you didn't answer. It was as if you had disappeared into thin air. Dahyun couldn't stop crying as she drowned in regret and guilt, missing your touch, your smile, your everything. She regretted breaking your heart, ruining your relationship for the stupid bet. She cut off Chaeyeong and Tzuyu. She refused to acknowledge their existence and instead was always thinking off you and soon she was notified by the university that you had left to another country. She couldn't stop crying. She felt broken as though a big peice of her was snatched right infront of her, and she couldn't do anything about it.  She cried and cried and cried hoping it was all a nightmare and she would wake up in your embrace the following day. But, the day never came. She never woke up from her nightmare. She started skipping university, her grades dropped, she became lonely as before she had Chaeyeong and Tzuyu but now she doesn't have them, she doesn't have you, she doesn't have anyone to her disposal. She fell into deep depression shortly after.

Meanwhile on your side, you were lost, you changed countries with the money you'd been Saving up and got admission in a new university with your knowledge and scholarship coming to the rescue. You missed her. You missed the moments you spend with her. But, you were happy but sad. You were back to your normal life expect you were in a different location. But you never stopped missing her. You hated yourself because you couldn't let go of your and Dahyun's memories.

Who knew, The Bet Chaeyeong and Tzuyu made for Dahyun could lead her and you to the deep end of the endless abyss of sadness.

Cannot fathom how I wrote a 2.3k word imagine in two sittings and in around 2 and a half hours!--- Anyways I'm crying. And please tell me how the chap was, this is the first time I wrote proper detailed Angst. I was listening to 'Last Waltz' and 'Cruel' on loop while writing this. I'm obsessed.
