Warped - Sapnotfound

Low and behold, there was his girlfriend. There was his girlfriend with another man. Having sex. In his bed. His girlfriend was cheating on him with another man in his bed. They were doing something that he always viewed as very special and intimate, so casually. He cherished every moment like this, always taking in her beauty, loving her to the fullest, and he never held back on telling her. He thought this was supposed to be a vulnerable, trust filled experience. He put all of his trust in her, and she decided to break it, and for what? Was he not giving her enough? Was he not fulfilling her needs? No. He can't blame himself for this. But he can't help it. He can't help but cry at the sight of the love of his life betraying him like this.

They only stopped when he dropped his phone, making a loud *thunk*. They looked over at the door only to find George standing there with tears flowing down his cheeks, and the most heartbroken look in his eyes.

"George- baby- please." She begged as she quickly got up, not even bothering to cover up. She already had a shirt on, that seemed to be enough. "Baby please, he-"

"Baby? You said you were single," The man said with a look of disgust in his eyes.

"Well I didn't s-"

"I can't believe you," The man scoffed, already buttoning up his jeans. He slipped his shirt on as he walked out of the room, mumbling a sincere apology to George who didn't care to thank him.

"I- George, Love, please-" She tried, reaching a hand up to his face and wiping the tears. He hated how reassuring it felt, and how he leaned into the touch.

"How can you call me that?" George cried, his voice sounding so incredibly small.

"What?"

"How can you call me "love" after doing this to me?" He asked, now straying away from her hand as he let the heartbreak sink in.

"I- Baby ple-"

"Don't fucking call be that," He hated how his voice cracked and shook, making it impossible to hide the pain he felt.

"George... please, we can work this out. We can talk to someone- we can get help! Please George!" She begged. But George couldn't focus on that. He could only focus on the bruises forming on her neck and collarbone. Ones that he didn't make. The markings of her betrayal.

"I-..."

"Please George, I still love you!" She tried.

"Then why?..." He weakly asked. "What did I do to deserve this? What could I have ever fucking done to make you fuck random guy while I was at class?! In my own God damn bed! 7 fucking years! I've given you everything for 7 fucking years, and this is how you want it to end?!" He yelled, tears never failing to fall.

"W-wait! Please, I don't want it to end!" She cried.

"You lied to that man. You told him you weren't in a relationship just so he would fuck you. I think that says enough about what you want," George said, walking over to the small table next to the bed. The bed that will forever be associated with this fucking night. "I was ready to start a new life with you," He said as she cried. He wasn't sure if those were meant to be remorseful tears, or manipulative tears. He hopes their remorseful. He loves her with everything he has, but he wants her to feel at least a fraction of his pain. Even then, a fraction would be too much for someone to handle. "I was ready to move. I don't know where, but I was ready for all of that, because I knew I would be with you," George continued, looking up at her for a split second before continuing to rummage through the lowest drawer. He found a small, black, velvet box and stood back up, nudging the drawer closed with his foot. He walked back over to her, pressing the box up to her chest, never once holding eye contact. He thinks if he looks her in the eyes, he would never be able to stop, seeking the comfort she once provided. "You can take your fucking ring, I won't be needing it," He snarled. He then looked at the silver band on his finger. The promise ring. He looked at her hand. It wasn't even on her finger. God she really didn't care about him, did she? He took the ring off of his own finger, also handing it to her. "Seems like you lost yours. Have mine," He snapped before storming out.
