As someone rang the doorbell Najah got up off the couch. She then looked out the window to see who was at the door.

"Yes...?" She questioned after opening the door for Boogie's mom. "I want to talk to you."

"About what?"

"Can I come in first?"

Najah let her in then closed the door behind her.

"I want to be around you, Asaad, and the babies. I don't want to have any issues with you or him in the future."

"So why lie to your family about me? If Asaad doesn't wanna come around that's his decision. I would never tell him to stay away from his family Mrs.Williams, I don't even know much about y'all to not want him around."

"Can we just start fresh?"

"I don't want to. We don't have to beef but I already see that you're bitter. Why would I want somebody like you around my kids? Then i'm pretty sure you went to your family and made up lies about me. If you can't respect me then you won't be in my kids lives, simple."

"Najah I didn't lie to anybody about you. I don't know what Asaad told you."

"Why would he lie on people that I don't even know? That doesn't make any sense. Maybe in the future i'll be open to building a bond with you but right now I don't think it's time."

"If Asaad allows you to come to the baby shower and be around the kids then you'll know. You won't be hearing from me tho." Najah added

"I want to apologize if I made you feel a certain way Najah. I just thought you were trying to brainwash him."

"Brainwash a grown ass man? Please. I don't want to talk about this anymore. Maybe when he comes home we can have a conversation."

"I understand." She nodded getting up. "Enjoy your day ma'am."

"You too Najah."

When she left Najah slowly went back upstairs. Bobbi was listening to music and doing her hair so she couldn't really hear much.

"Do Tank family give you any issues?"

"Nope, they love me and Kezia. They just don't like the fact that I broke up with him. Obviously ian tell them why we broke up, why tho?"

"Boogie mom just came over here tryna be cool n shit. Nah stay over there where you was at. I'm so this and i'm so that but you wanna hash shit out now? Fuck no, ian going."

"As you should, fuck she thought this was? People parents be so entitled man it's crazy."

"How you brainwash a grown ass man?" Bobbi asked scrunching her face up. "Same shit I asked her. Of course she gone run back n tell her family what I said too but ion care."

"Man fuck them. At the end of the day you the one inna relationship with Boogie not them. Keep doing what you doing, fuck they twisted ass opinions."

Najah felt bad that the situation was what it was but she didn't start it so she didn't put too much of her energy into it.
