"Shut up, Y/N!" Gabriel heard me and shouted.

"Oh, I must have spoken too loud," I said, trying not to laugh.

"If you don't shut up—"

"What are you going to do about it?" the principle asked slowly.

Gabriel gritted his teeth.

"You got lucky—"

"That's enough out of you."

"Let me finish my sente—"

"Nope." Then the principle damn near dragged Gabriel away to her office.

"Let me go!"

When the principle was out of sight I burst out laughing.

When we got home, my parents greeted us.

"Hello, sweethearts, how was school!" my mom said cheerfully. "Oh, and you brought Alice with you."

My mom loved Alice and probably would accept her as her daughter-in-law in a heartbeat.

"School was fun, Mom," Vali said. He was always the optimistic nice guy. Even though he almost got beat up by the worst bully I've ever met, he still couldn't help but be happy.

"What about you, Y/N?"

"School sucked," I said simply.

My mom sighed, failing to hide her amused smirk, clearly expecting my response. She turned to Alice. "How was school for you, dear?"

"It was good, Mrs. L/N," Alice replied with a smile.

My dad appeared at the doorway. "Hey there, champs. Oh, Alice is here too?"

He always asked us which one of us would be the one to charm Alice. I just stared at him. I thought it was obvious Alice had the hots for Vali.

"Dinner is almost ready," Mom said. "Alice, make yourself at home."

"I will, thank you!"

I rushed to the room Vali and I shared, throwing my backpack on my bed and turning on our TV and Wii.

Alice and Vali entered after me.

"What are you playing?" Alice asked.

"Mario Kart."

Vali groaned. I always beat his ass when we play.

"Can we play?"

"Sure, I don't really care," I passed Alice and Vali a controller.

I chose Luigi and absolutely destroyed them.

"Hey, you're cheating, Y/N!" Alice exclaimed.

"Nuh uh," I said casually.

"Come on guys, it's just a game," Vali said.

Alice looked at Vali and gave an apologetic smile. Her blush was not lost on me. "Y-You're right, Vali."

I almost groaned. Can my brother be anymore blind?

As we played Mario Kart, I couldn't help but ask: "You can't let Gabriel push you around like that. You're lucky the principle was there. If you're not going to fight him, then at least tell a teacher."

"I don't want to make it a big deal," Vali said, conflicted.

I sighed but said nothing. He's hopeless.
