"Jee... Waqas Ahmed, but I think he had stopped practicing. Besides, we have family lawyers.. why do you want a private lawyer?" Parthav tried to reach out to his Sardar's inner quest. He knew, his Sardar was up to something.
"Because it's my private matter, hence i need a private lawyer. I wish to draft a contract. Find Mr. Ahmed and bring him to me." Murtasim ordered. He had made up his mind. A Contract will stop her. He had planned to cease her free will. Little did he know, that this contract was going to be the biggest bone of contention between them.
"Yes.. I will reach out to him..." Parthav said and turned to leave.
"Ruko... Kuch, kehna hai tumhe..?" Murtasim enquired. Parthav was relatively less active that day.
(Wait.. do you wish to say something)
Parthav stood there, silent. His words seemed to deny his command. They didn't come out. "Woh.. Manaar madam.." he managed a few words.
"Kya hua Manaar ko..aur tumhe kitni baar kaha hai.. Khan Khandan ki auraton ke naam itne casually mat lo... " Murtasim imparted a subtle hint of the difference that Parthav and Manaar had between them. The distance was too much to fill.
(What happened to Manaar. And how many times i need to tell you to not take the name of the women of the Khan Family this casually)
"Choti bibiji ke exams aa rahe hain... Main soch raha tha ki unke sath jau.. bahar mahool theek nahi hai." Parthav replied defensively
(Madam's exam are coming. I was thinking to go with her. The environment outside isn't good)
"Koi zarurat nahi... Manaar ke liye bodyguards hain.. tumhe jo kaam dia hai karo." Murtasim Khan replied nonchalantly, making Parthav lose his hope. He knew, no matter how much his Sardar loved and cared for him, he would never accept his and Manaar's relationship. The disapproval of them going together was a subtle hint for Parthav and he understood.

Khan Haveli
12: 25 A.M.
"Aapne mujhe kyu roka Nadia.. aap jaanti hain Murtasim Khan ko kuch bhi pata nahi chalna chahiye. Humein unn dono ko jald se jald dur karna hoga.." Anwar stumped his feet infront of the vanity table where Nadia sat doing her night routine. She wasn't bothered of the consequences. She knew Khans deserved it.
(Why did you stop me Nadia. Murtasim shouldn't know anything. We need to separate them)
"Murtasim Khan ek nihayiti badtameez, ziddi aur pagal aadmi hai.. wo usse nahi jaane dega.. and brace yourself, you all are answerable to both of them ." Nadia's words were daggers to Anwar. It tore his soul. He didn't wish to lose Murtasim-his friend, his son.

The Next Morning...
Khan Haveli
7:40 A.M.
Dilawar Khan was impatient and restless after getting the message from William Claude earlier that morning. 'Eliza Claude had reached Lahore'. This was going to be the beginning of a new tussle between Dilawar and Sardar Khan. Khans were formed through alliances, some were profitable while others were amicable. But, it was the law of the land and a feudal lord was known by his land.
"Jakar dekho Sardar haveli mein hi haina.." Dilawar asked Dai Amma, as she prepared tea for both him and Ruqaiya Begum.
(Go and check, Sardar Khan is in haveli or not)
"Woh nahi hain... Subah phone aaya tha woh jaldi mein nikal gaye.." Dai Amma replied handing tea to Dilawar.
(He isn't there. He got a call and he left)
