INT: CORRIDOR LEADING TO EXIT POINT A, GROUND FLOOR, KMS

SFX: CHIT-CHATS. FAINT SOUND OF THE METRO RAIL WHEELS AS IT DEPARTS FROM THE STATION.

(NIDHI follows SANJAY, who enters the ground floor and heads to the exit.)

NIDHI: (off) Sanju! Ya, wait for me!

SANJAY: (close) The guard could see her-

SANJAY BUMPS INTO A COMMUTER.

Oof. Sorry sir.

NIDHI: (off) It's still 7.45. Professor Bhatt's lecture starts at 10 today.

SANJAY: (close) How could she see her? (beat) Is it- Is it because of what happened last night? N-no. The guard didn't see us. Nidhi couldn't possibly... she's just in my head... right?

NIDHI: (nearing) How rude.(close) She's here.

SG MURTHY: (off) See you tomorrow, Meera.

SANJAY: (close) Ghosts are not real. Definitely not real- Woah!

SG MURTHY: Ya, why couldn't you wait for me?

SANJAY: N-n-nidhi?

SG MURTHY: Don't act like you're witnessing this for the first time, okay. (whispers) Were you dreaming last night?

SANJAY: Nidhi, are you crazy? Get out of the guard now.

SG MURTHY: Why? You believe in this tall stranger na, and not me.

SANJAY: (raises voice) Get out of her, right now.

SG MURTHY: Wah. Look everyone, the shy Sanjay Prasanna is raising his voice on a security guard-

SANJAY: GET OUT OF HERE, NOW!

CHIT-CHATS ABRUPTLY STOP.

SG MURTHY: Ah, my head. (beat) What-where? H-

SANJAY: I'm so sorry for shouting.

THE CHIT-CHATS RESUME.

SG MURTHY: What? And w-what just happened? Who are you?

SANJAY: I don't know. Y-you were muttering something.

SG MURTHY: I was?

SANJAY: Oh, I'm late for class. Sorry.

SANJAY HURRIEDLY WALKS TOWARD THE EXIT.
