Loneliness

In teenage years, a world unknown,
Loneliness, a constant friend I've known.
Amidst the crowd, a solitary soul,
Searching for a place to make me whole.

The hallways echo with laughter and chatter,
But within my heart, there's an empty matter.
A silent ache, a longing to belong,
In this sea of faces, I drift along.

I watch as friendships bloom and grow,
Yet for me, the seeds of connection seem to sow
In soil untouched by understanding hands,
Loneliness like shifting desert sands.

The glow of screens, a virtual embrace,
But in real life, I yearn for a familiar face.
Isolation in a digital age weaves,
A web of solitude, where my heart grieves.

Yet hope resides, like a distant star,
A beacon in the night, however far.
For in these teenage years, I'll find my way,
Through the shadows of loneliness, to brighter day.
