So he starts getting desperate.

He rips off chunks of nearby buildings with ringing ears and forces them into Pyro's path. The villain stumbles and has to change directions a couple times as they go; and it gives Tommy the chance to catch up. He slams right into the villain; dragging him down and rolling with him as everything else his powers were holding onto fall into the street. Pyro's skin burns under his hands; but he doesn't let go. He pins the villain down with every last drop of his powers fueling him.

"Who even are you?!" Pyro demands; and Tommy hisses.

How dare he.

How dare he beat Tommy into near unconsciousness and then forget about him. How dare he throw him out and then pretend he doesn't exist. How dare he act like he isn't worth the energy it takes to remember.

"I'm the fucking devil. " He rattles, slapping Pyro's burning hands away and commanding his powers to lock them to the street with the cement. "I'm the pest you threw out and forgot about. The one you beat until he couldn't think! The one you kept beating after his tears dried up!"

He steps off the villain; backing up a couple steps with heaving breaths as he shoots fire from mouth in an attempt to escape. Tommy lifts a hand to the sky and drags a chunk off a building; watching in cruel delight as the man pales at the chunk looming over him.

"I am Icarus."

And he brings his hand down.

A distressed chirp makes it through the ringing in his ears- and everything stops.

The building chunk freezes with Tommy's hand- a hairs breath away from touching Pyro's chest. It just hovers over him as Tommy blinks a couple times- trying to get ahold of himself and his brain as the chirp rings out again.

He turns- slowly -and spots a kid up by the part of the building he tore off. She's on a half-destroyed balcony; and her downy wings are tucked behind her as she desperately tries to cling to the bars that're left.

And Tommy realizes with a jolt that she could fall. She could get hurt. Because of him.

People start pouring out of the building as Tommy stares- unable to move. A woman appears in the room beyond the chunk that Tommy ripped out; and she tries to make comforting noises at the girl.

"Y-You're ok, Tallulah! You're gonna be ok! I'm coming!" She calls, searching around anxiously with a rustle of her wings like she's anxious. Like she's worried about falling.

..Like she can't fly.

Dropping the chunk of the building beside Pyro and flapping his wings to propel him closer to the building; the crowd parts to escape him. He tries not to be hurt that they're trying to avoid him; and the little girl chirrups anxiously as he reaches the bottom of the building.
