A/N: The curse is so real it's fucking crazy. My dad got bad stomach pains a day after last chapter posted, and he needed surgery. Omg y'all this site has got to be cursed or something I swear.

Summary: After the successful completion of another school year, you wish for nothing more than a relaxing break... but the arising attacks and a shift in demeanor from someone might put those hopes to sleep...

"Bye, Mrs. Taira!" you smile, waving at her. "Thank you for teaching me!" you thank, half meaning it.

"It was a pleasure to have you in my class, Sano. Once again, congratulations on scoring so highly on your high school exams! I'm glad you overcame those struggles in your life. Goodbye," Mrs. Taira replies.

You forgot to mention the part where you and the rest of the teachers thought I couldn't do it. Wanna apologize for that? you snidely think.

However, you don't say that aloud and instead thank her, leaving soon after.

It was the last day of school, and everybody was racing to leave. You couldn't wait to enjoy the break, free from any school-related responsibilities before you had to start school again.

You contently sigh, I can finally relax—

Your thoughts are halted as a familiar scream cuts through the hallway, alarming a few people too. It's soon replaced with frightened faces as they back up, making a long open space in the middle... leading to you.

Oh no...

"FINALLY!!" Mikey shouts, finally running up to you and putting his hands on your back as he jumps.

Man, I really hope he doesn't plan on riding on my back! There's no way I can carry him!!

He lands, thankfully behind you.

"Enough of these bastards telling me what to do and these morons getting in my way!!" Mikey cheers, earning a few confused faces. Those who understand say nothing as they continue leaving the school.

"Alright, alright! Don't be so loud about it! You're causing a scene!" you scold, going to change your shoes.

"How can I not be?!" Mikey questions, changing his as well. Once done, he looks at you. "C'mon! Let's go home!" he grins, quickly taking your hand as he runs out the doors.

Oh no.

It's happening again, you think as you look ahead. Mikey's grabbing your hand, excitedly running home. You don't even pay attention to the students looking at you oddly.

Maybe I can... enjoy this...

Just for a moment??

And you do...

For five seconds.

It isn't until Mikey abruptly stops, forcing you out of your trance as you slam into his back, breaking contact with his hand.

"Ow! Dammit!"

"Huh? Oh, sorry."

So much for a moment...

"Why'd you stop so suddenly?"

"I just remembered something..."

You groan, "What?"

"I forgot my bag..."

After a harsh berating on your end and Mikey's attempt at "puppy dog eyes" to ease your scolding, you both head home.
