I let off two shots then me and brick walked out as we heard sirens

We drove away and I picked Vee up from the shop and we drove in silence for a little bit
I sat back in my seat as we stopped at a red light and she pulled on my shirt a little making me look down and see blood

"He had it coming, and I was tired of Paris anyway" I kept it short and simple the less she in the better

" I just don't like I—" she was cut off my my back window being shot out making me speed off
Shots was still hitting my truck and I was fucking confused as to why they was shooting at me
I looked over seeing A'Vayah's arm bleeding making her look down
"Fuck bruh!" I turned the car around driving to the hospital but trying to check the rest of her to make sure there was no more blood
I was shot I felt it but I didn't care about me, I cared about her
"I'm ok D" she tried to reassure me and rubbed my hand

I took her to the hospital and made sure she was ok before I let them check on me
Her and the baby were both good, baby had started moving for the first time once nerves were settled
I felt him kick and it was the best feeling in the world
The doctor pulled a bullet out of my side and bandage me up. They released us and we went home and watched movies on the couch
"Thank you for being so protective" I laid my head next to her belly as she rubbed my head
"I told you I got you and I meant it" I kissed her belly and closed my eyes as I tried to forget the fear I felt seeing her hurt
